Google Nest Cam Weatherproof Cable for Nest Cam (Battery) Only - 720p -Snow - 5m

I needed a replacement and this did the job just fine.

Original , was using the solar one but was unable to use certain features like the noise and all that.... honestly not impressed with the nest/google integration , even tho they are sold as nest, the dont work on the nest app.... so what I did not want happened have to use two different apps for the products, i know I went off topic, but the cable is original and long enough .

Bought 5mm cables to make it to existing Receptacle. Easy to install.

I ordered several Google nest cams (wireless) online that came without the charging cords. Was concerned that these was not work, but they work beautifully. A real cost savings for me.

The cord seems durable and it works well. My only complaint is that I think they could provide a way to wind or store the cord better.

This power cord should have been included with the Nest battery cam but what makes this a bad purchase is that the insulation is soft and cant withstand the outside elements. Bought mine in July and 5 months later, the insulation split and is exposing the wires. I contacted Google for a replacement and they told me no , but this will be a feature request. They wont stand behind this power cord so i now just have this cam running on battery waiting for my Nest Aware to run out because i will not be renewing.

I thought it was a poor redesign, adding a power cable to a battery-operated device just to use AC. The original, I have one, was just hard wired no battery. The new version is now battery driven; you add a hard wire to use AC power. I understand that battery is a now a backup backup... the design should have been to keep it a hardwired device and add a battery to it. We use the camera for our Cottage security.

Does the job but an expensive way wrong length solution when all that is needed is a 2m long cable. Need an intermediate size between the available 1 and 5m versions

found a used camera online which was missing the mounting bracket and the charging cable. this was the perfect solution - i have 4 rechargable cameras and i use the same battery for them all. (and a round magnet works in place of the mounting bracket!)

I ordered the 10m cable for a nest battery cam. Google made the dumb decision to not allow full video history unless the “wireless” camera is connected to power 24/7. Why not just go back to selling a wired outdoor camera?? Anyway, be careful if you think you’re going to order the 1m cable because it’s just a charging cable, not the weatherproof power cable as the 10 and 5m are.
