> 3 dayThe Google Pixel 4A 5G truly sounds impressive on paper with its Night Vision mode, powerful videography capabilities, 5G connectivity, extensive suite of apps, large file storage capacity, all-day battery, video streaming, yadda yadda yadda. And its THIN! And its LIGHT! - Only 168 grams! Theres only one problem, however. It is as fragile as a potato chip. Six days ago, I was walking through my neighborhood with my nine-month-old Google Pixel 4A 5G in my front right pants pocket. The Pixel was encased in a Spigen Tough Armor case and was equipped with a tempered glass screen protector. Due to an unfortunate encounter with a dog, I tripped and fell - on my back, mind you. I was fortunately not hurt (although to this day I hope that worthless dog gets struck by lightning), but when I pulled my Pixel out of my pocket to exchange phone numbers with the dogs owner, I discovered the damage you see in the attached pictures. The phone display showed what I can only describe as a green screen of death. From that moment to now, the phone has been totally unusable. The front screen is destroyed, the headphone jack is destroyed, and the back cover has partially separated from the front of the phone. And all this from a drop of about 33 inches. (Im not a tall guy!) A drop that occurred while the phone was not only in its protective case, but was still in my pocket! Which leads to two philosophical questions. First, if a phone has impressive capabilities, yet is too fragile to take with you on a walk, what good is it? I dont play video games, nor do I watch movies on smartphones. And if I want to take pictures, there are plenty of good cameras that I can buy. My Pixels capabilities are worthless to me now, and I am out $500 dollars for a phone thats turned into a piece of junk. Second, whats with the obsession that manufacturers and sellers of certain things have with weight and size? Were constantly being bombarded with marketing that says that we should buy the lightest, thinnest versions of certain very expensive things - as if the presence of even two or three extra grams will pin us to the ground. Its not like were competing in the summer Olympics! I am thinking right now of the Greek myth of Sisyphus being punished eternally by being forced to roll a large boulder up a hill only to have the boulder slip out of his hands just before he gets to the hilltop. And I can imagine someone coming to him and saying, Dude - the reason you cant roll that rock over the hill is because of the smartphone youre carrying! It adds weight and slows you down! You should buy one of our phones, because they dont weigh anything more than air! Thin + light does not always equal cutting-edge quality. Thin + light = cheap sometimes.

Greater than one weekFinally a phone wheres others can hear me without asking me to continually repeat myself!! Also, Im able to hear clearly others without trying to clarify!! Excellent camera is a real bonus. After playing around with it a bit, adding microsoft launcher to it adding navigation buttos on the bottom, I had it just like I need, super awesome!! The audio and camera alone makes me want to make this my most favorite cell phone ever!!

> 3 dayIn my opinion this is the best pixel there is if you are overly concerned with wireless charging theres no point in paying so much more for a smaller screen just to have wireless charging to buy the pixel 5 thats the only difference between the 4A 5G and the five other than the pixel 5 having the metal body I dont plan on going swimming with my phone anytime soon so I dont see the need and paying all that extra money for that capability either just being real every single thing else about the two phones is the exact same except for the size the pixel 5 bis smaller.

> 3 dayThe Pixel is a lot like the Samsung Galaxy, but better priced and a bit smaller for the pockets, you know. I wish I knew that new apps were Introducing themselves ALL THE TIME. And it will is a pain to get rid of them. Now there is a Chat app I cant get off the screen. There is a lot of junk on the phone that I do not need. And the predictive text is now using pictures instead of the word. Wish I had known...

> 3 dayI love my new phone its been easy to adjust to working with the added bonus. All the added bonus have worked well with my lack of Tec skills. After having a phone that didnt work too easily it is nice to have one that is wonderful. So far the only problem was finding a accessories like a case and protection glass cover, found only one as the phone is new.

Greater than one weekI have the clearly white, and along with the clear OtterBox case it looks great. The speed is top notch and the battery lasts at least 24-36 hours. Vivid pics and quality videos. Only knock is no SD card. Other than that, its a top android phone

> 3 dayLove the camera. The wide angle lens is proving really useful during our trips. Also happy that the aspect ratio is by default 16:9 (my husbands iphone 11 keeps reverting to 4:3 which was annoying). Im happy this particular pixel still has an audio jack and a finger print scanner at the back instead of being replaced by facial recognition. I prefer the finger print scanner to be located at the bottom front (like in my moto g6) as it would have been easier to access but I understand why its designed to be in the back instead. Overall, really happy with this phone.
