Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Tape 4 x 10 Black, (Pack of 1)

> 3 dayMy kids were talking to the cat who then jumped up (and poked a hole) in our brand new Coleman hot tub. In the morning the tub was significantly deflated so I used A dab of E6000 glue to patch the spot and let it dry for the full cure time. I then applied the patch included with the tub by the manufacturer. Since it was a small circular patch and I wanted to cover a larger area around the hole, I also ordered a roll of this Gorilla Glue patch tape. I don’t know if the tape played a significant role, but it’s been a few months now and the tub still has not leaked air. However, with the steam coming from the 104 degree water and the hot sun beating down on the tub all day, it has slid out of place a bit. There’s a sticky layer that has formed, which comes off quick and easy with a small amount of acetone on a paper towel. Although I’m not a big fan of the mess I gave this product 4 stars for staying in place under these conditions. The peeling edge that you see is due to the boyfriend pushing the tackiness back up towards the tape and wouldnt have occurred without his assistance. I read all of the reviews before purchasing this product and am adding mine here so you can see how this tape holds up in 90+ degree weather with moisture. It’s still there, but it will shift when applied to a curved surface subject to gravity and repeated placing and removing of the insulated tub cover.

> 3 dayThis works underwater and is just as effective as a vinyl patch. If you want something quick and inexpensive to fix a hole in your vinyl above ground pool liner this is your ticket.

> 3 dayOkay, so this is Gorilla Tape. Gorilla tape works, we all know this. But what about underwater? So my brand spanking new vinyl liner pool decides to spring not one, not two, but three leaks on its first fill up. 3000 gallons of water to fill this thing up, I wasnt going to empty it! I live in a desert, I felt guilty enough filling it up, emptying it out to fix a hole and then refilling, no way. So I researched a ton of different patches and came across this product here on Amazon. The reviews were weird. Yes, I read them just like you are doing now. Some say it didnt stick at all? Another says it comes off the roll really loose. Here is the scoop - there is an error on the directions for this tape. So, lets do two things here together - One, know you are not wasting your time, get this product. Right now, dont waste time! Two, read below on a couple of important but easy steps on using it. 1) The directions tell you to cut off the piece you want and then round the corners. Here is something important: Do NOT - guys, read that again - do NOT - use your wifes good scissors or the ones in your knife rack. Dont do it guys. The residue left behind was like crazy glue. It sticks! Your best bet is using a decent pair of scissors and making your cuts in one smooth motion. This will prevent goo from getting on your scissors. 2) AFTER cutting, get to where you need to place the tape and then REMOVE the transparent liner over the sticky part of the tape. The directions never tell you to remove this liner! Well, to those people with the negative reviews, they didnt remove the liner. Once you remove it, watch out - it is sticky as can be! Try not to touch the sticky part!! We took the tape, sticky exposed, went underwater, and stuck that bad boy right where the pool was leaking. Pressed all the air out, pressed down on the edges, then just stood on it for a few minutes. Did this for all three holes and not one has leaked again. Okay, so it isnt as pretty as some of the other patches, it is a big black piece of tape. But it works and works fast and it is easy. Buy with confidence. > 3 dayGorilla products are normally great, but this product was far from that. I tried to wrap up a low pressure waterhose that had a small cut in it but the water pressure ripped right through this tape. The tape stayed stuck to the hose but within less than 1 minute had a large slit ripped open in the side. It may work better for other repairs because it is very sticky on 1 side, but it did not work well for me.

> 3 dayI am always wary of things that promise waterproof and patch or seal in the same sentence. I have waited a long time to write this review - which is uncharacteristic, but I wanted to wait until I had finished the entire roll and actually seen the performance. I have used this is a myriad of roles, one that has surprised me the most is when I needed to wrap a joint in a conduit where I connected buried EMT to PVC as it went up a tree. There is no exact fitting for this, but I got it to work with some experimentation...I used this tape to wrap the connection - probably overkill but worth it. The tape has been exposed to UV, freeze/thaw, heat, covered in snow and ice, etc. the tape is still stuck, the amazing thing is that it is stuck everywhere...I can’t even use a finger to pry an edge up. I have used many other places and it has always come through. When I first bought it I was puzzled why it was so wide, well wide can always be reduced, but there is no way to make skinny wide. Love the product, and it is definitely something that a homeowner - DIY or HIO (hire it out) should keep around the house for those difficult problems. It’s incredibly versatile, but it is also easy when at hand.

> 3 dayUsed for sealing the small hole in the pond. This is not for heavy duty.
