I use these every day. I feel like the app could be a bit more user friendly, but the fact I can control them from my phone is very convenient for what I use them for

For anybody that cares about such things, I checked the power draw on this with it connected to wifi and it draws about 0.6 watts when the relay is off, and about 1.1 watts when the relay is on. This is a fairly small amount of power to be sure, but it is going to cost a couple bucks a year just for it to exist. Not the end of the world, but it could easily be reduced to a small fraction of that for minimal if any increase in price. On the plus side, the outlet is actually switching the hot leg and not the neutral, which is nice.

I purchased other smart plugs but because my wifi doesnt have an option to switch between 5ghz and 2.4ghz so I wasnt able to set them up. I was hoping since these are Bluetooth enabled it would help me get them connected, and I was right! It was so easy!! Once you set up them up through Bluetooth they are actually able to detect the correct signal to connect to. I didnt need to change anything on my wifi. You do need to download their app to set up the devices, but its super simple to link their app to Alexa once theyre activated. Then you can just control them with Alexa or the Alexa app like any other smart device. I am so thankful for these plus! I was about to rip my hair out with the other one... Highly recommended!!!

Bought these to setup as a timer. Easily connected to my WiFi. The only issue I ran into was trying to setup a timer schedule. You need to tap details to add an on/off schedule. Other than that these timers are great and well priced compared to others.

They do perfectly the job with Alexa integration. Easy to install and easy to use.

I am not finding many uses for them but they do work and they werent difficult to get working.

Easy to link to with App and setup was straight forward and easy. No need to put these online or hook to WiFi router to get them to work, just what I wanted. Just your simple, programmable, on-off wall switch that doesnt make noise like the motor driven timers. Had the temperature sensors in RV frig and freezer for couple years, watching to assure temps are good. Both items work good and connect to iPhone everytime I look at them.

It was difficult to break open the plastic enclosure. But once that was done, I was able to remove the AC input and output connectors and the part of the circuit that uses AC power to supply 5V to the relay and radio. I now supply 5V from another source and use the relay to switch a DC circuit on and off. I am able to control that circuit from 50 km away, using a different internet service provider. The Govee application installer requires permission to access irrelevant information such as location. Setup requires entering the local WiFi password. With this information, the device is a network security risk. It could contain malicious code itself or be vulnerable to hackers who could insert such code. To reduce this risk, Im considering setting up a separate WiFi router for this and similar devices, isolated from that used by computers in the house.
