So far so good. But not sure about wifi connectivity (and I dont use Alexa). Will know more when/after trying to connect from 1200 miles. (while on trip). If all goes well, will upgrade to 5 star.

I purchased other smart plugs but because my wifi doesnt have an option to switch between 5ghz and 2.4ghz so I wasnt able to set them up. I was hoping since these are Bluetooth enabled it would help me get them connected, and I was right! It was so easy!! Once you set up them up through Bluetooth they are actually able to detect the correct signal to connect to. I didnt need to change anything on my wifi. You do need to download their app to set up the devices, but its super simple to link their app to Alexa once theyre activated. Then you can just control them with Alexa or the Alexa app like any other smart device. I am so thankful for these plus! I was about to rip my hair out with the other one... Highly recommended!!!

Cannot brag on these enough. Set up and connection is super simple - takes less than 2 minutes if you already have a Govee account. We currently have 1 set of Christmas lights, our mirror lights in the bathroom, and 1 set of bedroom lights set up on these. Its so convenient to able to turn on or off thru an app - especially because 2 of the light sets we have set up on Govee plugs are in very hard to get ti places. Definitely recommend.

Perfect to power cycle my modem and router as needed :)

These things are awesome, inexpensive, & super easy to set up. I have this one turning on my coffee percolator.

I really dont like how long it takes to turn on and off through the app sometimes it is 10 or 15 seconds later but it does work so I cant say much more this is my first experience with a smart plug.

It was difficult to break open the plastic enclosure. But once that was done, I was able to remove the AC input and output connectors and the part of the circuit that uses AC power to supply 5V to the relay and radio. I now supply 5V from another source and use the relay to switch a DC circuit on and off. I am able to control that circuit from 50 km away, using a different internet service provider. The Govee application installer requires permission to access irrelevant information such as location. Setup requires entering the local WiFi password. With this information, the device is a network security risk. It could contain malicious code itself or be vulnerable to hackers who could insert such code. To reduce this risk, Im considering setting up a separate WiFi router for this and similar devices, isolated from that used by computers in the house.

I was wanting just a easy install with simple features on the app. It feels like extra steps are required. It’s easy to turn off and on but setting up a repeating time isn’t as simple as setting an alarm on your phone. It’s repeating wake up time is detailed, no doubt, that’s what I mean by feels like extra steps are needed. Also adds and a community feature. I should’ve done my homework but I just needed as simple as off and on with an alarm. There’s just a lot of extra stuff.

What more can I say. Downloaded the app, plugged the unit in, connected to wi-fi quickly, and was working in minutes. Connected to Alexa quickly also.

Bought another brand and we couldn’t hook it up but this one at the same time in the ease of hook up was perfect
