On the 8 version a Skar evl8 will hit it with volume not even halfway up.

Looks great and well made. I just wish it would have fit my enclosure. But the box isnt wide enough for my oversized subwoofer AND a grille.

Plain and simple this did not fit my 10 inch sub.

The thing is a solid grill not worried at all about my speaker getting damaged

Wow this thing is sturdy! I mean you can bend the bars if you actually try but from regular use or the occasional thing that may get tossed at it, its not going anywhere. Took me maybe 20 minutes to take my sub out of my truck, line this up, predrill some holes, and drill it down. I also didnt use the screws that came with it because I hate phillips but just know it does come with screws. I put it over one of NVXs $50 10 subs and it has about a quarter inch of space between this guard and the sub on each side. Easily worth the money.

It fits, it is very sturdy and it was a cinch to install. Packaging and quality control arent the best. It was slightly bent and had a chip in the paint. However, it is designed to take some punishment so further scratches are in its future. I installed this over a Rockford Fosgate 10 sub.

A few things are wrong in the description of the dimensions of the grill for a 10 subwoofer speaker. I have the 10 grill which shows 15.5 inside diameter. 1) The ACTUAL inside diameter is about 11 inches. The outside diameter of the Rockford Fosgate 10 R2D4-10 Prime 4-Ohm DVC 10 inch speaker is 10 and 7/8 inches. This leaves 1/16 inches clearance on each side for the grill to fit perfectly around the trim ring of the speaker (basically it fits perfectly without touching the speaker trim). 2) The height measurement of the grill bars in the description shows 1 and 3/4, the actual measurement from the deck mounting surface to the underneath of the grill bars is 1 and 5/8th inches (slightly less). For my Rockford Prime 10 speaker this allows exactly 1 inch clearance from the top of the foam surround to the underneath of the grill bars, I think this is allows more than enough cone excursion. If you have a speaker with extreme cone excursion at high SPLs, this might be a concern. 3) A picture in Amazon description shows the bars of the grill disconnected which led me to believe it was not one complete piece. The unit is actually completely assembled (welded), and it is VERY solid. I can lift the whole box with speaker installed and amplifier (Rockford Fosgate R2-250X1 amplifier attached) by one bar and it seems VERY strong. 4) Last thing...the 4 Phillips screws are not too strong. One of the heads broke off with just a little bit of torque going into MDF when I tried to tighten it (possibly too much). I would suggest you use better screws, possibly allens or torx depending on your box material.

Actually had to return mine as they did not fit my Pioneer shallow mount subs, and also a bit too tall for my underseat application; However, just wanted to give a shout out to their obvious good build quality and finish.
