To be honest I am not all together sure what its actual use is, I just know I read it could get rid of fleas. It does do that temporarily. Should you be using it for that DO NOT use the spryer that comes with it. I did and it got everywhere, I literally had to clean it off of everything in my room. The better albeit harder way to do it is to find something to put it in and sprinkle it. When my sister used it she used a mason jar and poked holes on the lid. If you have a tiny flea problem this will solve it for a month or so, if you have a big flea problem you’re looking at it lasting a week at best. Again, I don’t know what it’s actually used for, so this review is based on what I used it for.

I really like DE and I use it multiple places. I mix it into my chicken feed to prevent and kills worms in my chickens. I sprinkle it in the garden both at ground level as well as on the leaves and veggies. I also use it on my fruit trees. It really works on the insects we get here at my farm. I love that this one comes with a device to squirt/spray/distribute the powder on these various places. Its a little messy to fill but it helps to powder a chicken tail that has nits (as she runs away from you!)

I was excited to give this a whirl. Had read about D.E. for a while and decided to do it. This product is awesome. The duster that comes with it is quite large. Larger than I had envisioned, I suppose. Every spring I battle ants in my kitchen and bathroom directly above it. I dusted the cracks and where I knew they went and within 12 hours I noticed none, where I had 30 to 40 before. Did not last forever. After about a month I noticed a few scouts in both places today and will redust...perhaps monthly in summer. Good quality, nice duster, fast delivery.

Works well on a number of pests and highly recommend the duster to optimize application.

Been battling a pantry moth infestation that got into my garden room through some bird seed I had stored. Its unreal how resourceful these little jerks are - they get all established before you even realize theres an issue. One day you ask, Why are there so many of these things and the answer soon becomes apparent that theyve moved in without asking. They got behind my window casements for heavens sake. I cant reach there to vaccuum them out. They also did get into one half of my food pantry and I had to toss some food they got into and vacuum that out as well, hard to do because they get into the shelf peg holes, even. Since they were living in areas I could not reach with my water vac attachments, I deployed this desiccant to their habitat instead. Hee hee. So this stuffs messy and I used the dispenser wrong at first but basically I just ineptly dusted this stuff in every area I saw them and let it sit. It has taken about five weeks or so but their population numbers finally just bottomed out and Im no longer seeing them in anywhere near the numbers I used to. We also spent weeks manually killing the flying ones we saw with an electrified racket (more satisfying than youd think) and I also deployed pantry moth traps that also seem to work well and are doing a good job helping me gauge the problem. You can win against them but it takes a sustained effort. You dont have to be perfect, this stuff WORKS. A spate of nice weather apparently spurred a bunch of them to hatch out earlier this month, we took care of that phalanx and since then have seen only a few sporadically which we also dispatched. Im super happy with this stuff, it clearly affects the moths, if they touch it they seem to have trouble flying as well. It doesnt work immediately and you have to address the issue with a multipronged approach. This is the big center prong. This is the stuff you want if youre battling pantry pests. Give yourself a leg up and use this, its natural, safe, and has no effect my pets. Wear goggles and a mask when youre applying it so you dont breathe any in. Once the air is clear and the stuff is on surfaces, youre good. It kills insects by drying them out. Kinda genius if you ask me! I dont think I will have to call an exterminator after all.

I moved out of a roach infested apartment, and my house doesnt have roaches, so clearly it works. Beware that this stuff builds up a strong smell in storage. Opening up all my boxes after the move sure was...an experience...

Was able to use garden duster by sealing the crack with my finger. Have since glued it with a flexible clear adhesive. Will have to see if duster works now. Dusted a few fire ant mounds, and after more than 48 hours, they still are popping out when the mound is disturbed. Will try to greatly disturb the mound and dust the swarm, that way they drag it back in with them and hopefully contaminate others.

This stuff has drastically helped my home . I have two cats an a dog and summer just ended but during summer the fleas were horrible and I hate any type of bugs . I tried everything from shampoos to lotions to sprays , pills I tried it all ….. so I research this stuff diatomaceous earth and I see that you could sprinkle it on your pets for her and rub it in and you can even feed it to them to get rid of ringworms or any type of worms that they have and I will tell you that I just took in an outside cat and I guess she had gotten I think it was larvae from the fleas but anyway she would have little white worms on her butt when she was done using the bathroom but I started putting diatomaceous earth in her wet food I would do a tablespoon and I haven’t seen any after that but I was also giving it to them once a day you got to kind of stay consistently with it . so I do rub this stuff on there fur and I have seen them falling off like they were dead so it takes about a week until you start seeing stuff I also put it in my bathroom I used to have spiders everywhere and I put this stuff down and I haven’t really seen any spiders just buy it it’s worth it it is very messy you’re not supposed to inhale it but it’s safe it’s food grade I do recommend it you just probably should wear a mask and make sure your kids or your pets are not around

Used this product to get rid of a variety of household pests. Chemicals dont work because we have children in the house. Took care of ants and spider and all of the spring time pests inside! Swear by this stuff! Also used in the past to get rid of a bed bug problem. After spending 5k with Orkin one of the call center reps at Orkin told me to give this a try and lo and behold $16 and two weeks later, I had no further bed big issues...it did what Orkin could not do for $5,000! Will always be my go to for pest control!
