As others have said, please, check the year yours was manufactured as it makes a difference on which part you purchase. Look for the review with a link to the parts PDF - very helpful. I had attempted to just replace the rope which was a huge mistake. This costs a bit more but is all together with the coil loaded. It does not include screws, but I used the existing ones and it was very easy to install and my hitachi blower started right up!
