As mentioned in many of the comments, you should buy lag bolts so that the racks securely hold the weight these racks can hold. I bought 3 5/16 lag bolts for 52 cents each at Ace Hardware. Get 4 lag bolts per pack (e.g. I bought 8 for my 2 pack). Installation Notes 1. I found studs approximately 48 inches apart. 2. Mark horizontal line (6 ft level) where you want the bottom of the supports to be. 3. Mark vertical line (2 ft level) running 16 inches up from bottom mark. 4. Mark and drill pilot hole for lag bolts (13/64ths). The holes in my mount were 3 and 14 5/8ths up from the bottom. 5. Use impact driver to attach mounts. Dont forget to put a washer (called a spacer in the instructions) on each lag bolt. 6. Install arms with hunch pins and clips. Check arm for angle, if that is critical for your usage. Tools (these are the tools I used, not all are mandatory) 1. Stud finder 2. 2 foot level 3. 6 foot level 4. Measuring tape 5. Drill and 13/64ths drill bit (could use 7/32nds) 6. Impact drill and half inch deep socket Complaints: 1. One of the hitch pins had a hole that didnt go all the way through, so I chatted with Amazon and got a $15 credit and bought an 1 1/2 inch pin for $1.45 from Ace Hardware 2. The specs mention that the arms tilt up slightly; three of mine (so a fourth of the arms) did not. The angle was not critical for wood stock, so that was not an issue for me.

It was reasonably fast and easy to install these in my storage shed. Filled in with Lumber, no fuss. They work very well. Id buy them again.

I bought this product with a different use in mind. I was looking to get all the kids’ hoverboards and charging cables off of the garage floor as it was a hazard! I saw these lumber racks and thought I would give it a try. They are very sturdy, which is something I needed for the weight of the hoverboards. They were super easy to install, just make sure to drill into the studs for max support. I found I can fit 2 hoverboards per shelf as the depth allowed this. Easily could hold more weight than these, but this is plenty for what I needed. I am super happy with the result, and now have a clean floor and the kids do a great job plugging everything back in when complete so their toys are actually ready to be used next time they go outside.

This was simple to install, but you need to be certain that you find the center of the studs. Its easy to miss them or hit just the edge of the stud, so take the time to be sure youve centered the supports on studs. The other thing is that the quality control needs some work. The support and braces were fine. The quality issues are with the other parts (pins, screws, etc). In my case one of the steel dowels was missing a hole for the pin at the end. (I saw similar comments on line from other customers regarding parts.) It only took a short trip to the local hardware store to get a new dowel and pin, but that round trip was 45 minutes that I could have used for some other project. Quick summary: good product, performs as expected, quality control on parts needs to be better. If I had a need for more shelving I would likely buy this product again.

As many other reviews have said, get yourself some better lag bolts but other then that they are great. I’ve had stacks of wood all over my shop for years and these freed up so much more room for all sorts of activities. Like putting in bunk beds. If you can dodge a wrench you can put these up. Even got metal and posting out of the way. Worth every dime!

Overall this would have been very good if not for some quality control issues. 1. The holes in several of the pins were not drilled all the way through. 2. One of the arm brackets was not welded on straight and could not be installed. I was able to drill the pins pretty easily with a drill press. The crooked bracket on one of the arms was a bigger problem. I could not even get the pin through the hole. I used a rat tail file to open up the holes until I was able to get the pin in and the arm was sitting straight. I had to open up the holes a bit on another arm also because it was sitting a bit high relative to the other arms. It is critical to have the arms line up across all 4 racks if you dont want to have warped boards. In the end, I was able to make it work but I had to put in extra work to make it useable.

Nothing fancy, but easy to install, took longer to find studs than it did to install them. Only annoyance is the plastic end caps pop off, but they could always be glued if it mattered.

Wow, what can I say. Im blown away with how great these racks worked out and how much weight they can handle. Made a HUGE difference in my wood shop. Worth every penny!!!

I purchased a double pack (glad I did) and found them to be very easy to install and sturdy. The racks freed up some valuable floor space. There were ZERO defects and, except for the drywall-type mounting screws included (sorry, but these thin screws dont inspire much confidence in their durability), I found the components to be good quality. The racks are holding up cherry wood planks that are very heavy 9-10 foot long and 10 inches wide by 1 inch plus thick, so the whole system is holding up well. The only regret I have is that I waited so long to purchase and then mount them.

New homeowner here and needed to store my spare wood in a tight space. These worked out great! No issues thus far. My only concern was the included hardware so I purchased 3 5/16 lag screws to make sure these arent going anywhere. Id give it 6 stars if these were able to extend and retract in height.
