> 3 dayI have an older iHome switch. I thought that this would be the same brand. It is not. Dont buy if you have apple homekit. WeMo is the better smartplug.

> 3 dayThese plugs are great. The Geeni app is very simple to setup, and within seconds of plugging the new smart plugs in, the app found them and they connected without issue. BN-Link makes similar Smart Plugs, but they do not have Energy Monitoring, which is ridiculous. Its nice to be able to turn the switches off/on with your phone, but seeing how much power the device plugged into the smart plug is drawing, in real time, and over a period of a year is a crucial feature that many competitors are lacking as of late. The blame is the chip shortage (of course it is, funny how others like this product dont have that issue and include Energy Monitoring, I think its a way to make a cheaper product for the same price). Make sure you allow Bluetooth with the app so it can easily find the new plugs. Also, you can use the Device Widget to turn the switches on/off on iOS, which is awesome. You can also add a picture icon for the plugs. BN-Link also removed this feature. This is nice because you can take a picture of whatever the plug is powering and use it as your icon. Small, but nice feature. There are few reviews because this product was released 4 months ago, so its new. So far, I highly recommend, and the price is very reasonable. The picture I included is the Device Widget showing the icons.

Greater than one weekAs of April 2, 2022, these are unusable... Basically trash unless you use Apple HomeKit. When they did work with Google Home, I had to constantly reconnect them to wifi. Now you cannot use them at all… “Any integration with third party services such as Google Assistant, SmartThings, Amazon Alexa, Wink or IFTTT will no longer work. Please transition to using HomeKit wherever possible.” I highly recommend Kasa Smart Plugs instead. I’ve never had an issue with them.

> 3 dayThis product will not work unless you are nearby the plugs. But if you are away from home which is whats important. No dice. Useless!

02-04-2025It was a little difficult at first getting it to connect. It literally took me several tries (at least 10) and I was a little frustrated. Then I moved it to another socket and the same distance from the router and it connected in minutes. There is an app that must be downloaded and the QR code in on the instruction leaflet. Once connected, it was easy peasy to use. I was able to turn my den lights off and on using my phone. It is a pack of 2 so I used the other plug at my moms house so she does not have to walk into a dark house when she returns home at times. She can turn in the lights from the car. I like the plug so much that I will buying another set for me gadgets around the house. It’s so convenient and I find it to be a safety “must have”.
