I use this brand for the value. I’ve never had an issue with my saltwater tanks using this brand. Only problem I’ve noticed is that it takes a little more than what is recommended. I use for small batches of water, usually 5 gallons. I usually have to add about an extra cup to it to get salinity correct. Otherwise no issues. And the price is much better than the other brands. Just make sure you check the salinity before adding to aquarium.

Product is great, price is way to high. I will be buying at local pet store.

Great for fish only tanks. May be obvious to some but I learned the hard way that this salt doesn’t have nearly enough calcium or magnesium for a reef tank or to sustain coralline algae. Switch to reef crystals :)

Way cheaper then those stupid salt water bottles for the hermit crabs.

It works great so far in my nano tank. I cant really say much. Some people dont like this brand but with my tank I see no issues although I am a beginner.

Always use this product and had no issues with this. The last purchased item showed some crystallization of salt powder and the particle was mm size. Keep on using this condition, I see no negative effect but need a little more mixing time

I guess it must be ocean salt then. I didnt lab test it but it certainly is salt of some kind according to my salinity meter. I needed it for healing tanks and the red clawed crab that likes brackish water. It is ground finely so it dissolves easy which is great. So far, none of the pets disagree with it so take it for what its worth. This wasnt the most expensive one but considering I needed much less and it is salt from the ocean...its kinda pricey in general. Some aquarium hobbyists say you can just use kosher salt for a fraction of the price but ocean salt is supposed to be more beneficial for the aquatics.

Been using this brand for over a decade to make brine for my hermit crab and hes big and old, so this works great. (I dont have a saltwater fishtank.)

Some reef tank owners may disagree with my conclusion but after many years of owning reef tanks and FOWLRs - and having tried most of the products available - I sincerely believe this salt is the best overall value for the average salt water aquarium enthusiast. For FOWLR tanks there isnt a better salt available. For reef tanks there are better products available (Red Sea Coral Pro most notably) but the cost of those products is not reflected in the quality. Whatever salt you buy you still need to supplement - calcium, buffers, trace elements, etc., etc. - and yes you need to supplement a little more with this salt but when you total up the overall costs this salt proves to be the best value by far. I have never had an issue with this salt - mixes quick (15 minutes using a powerhead) and clear.
