> 3 dayI used 1 scoop of this for approximately 4 gallons of water (almost full 5 gallon bucket) for a brackish water tank and this salt works great. I would pour the salt in roughly when the bucket was halfway so I could swirl it around easily and then by the time the bucket was 4/5ths full then the salt was usually dissolved enough. With a capful of primer and the water was ready to dump. I never found a need to wait a certain amount of time and it never seemed to bother the fish. In fact the fish usually swam to the water as I poured it in.

> 3 dayI have been a reef keeper for over twenty years. I have tried virtually every salt, and this is still probably the most cost effective and consistent salt options around. It will leave residue in a mixing station, but that never seems to impact fish or corals. It just means if you use a mixing station you will probably have to clean it out every so often.

> 3 dayGreat value for the money! We use this for our saltwater pool in our hermit crab tank. We use 1 Tbs at a time since the pool is the minimum size recommended of a 2 cup capacity. This brand is highly recommended from all of the crab groups we are in. It has lasted for months and we are only half way through it. Will definitely be ordering more at the end of Summer.

> 3 dayI have used so many salts over the years I have forgotten some of the ones that Ive used. I used stuff that ran me $120 for a Tall 5 gallon bucket (probably like 7.5 gallons) that was lab certified to be this or that. I started to realize that I kept buying different salt every time it was time to buy salt, one thing I have learned is that consistency does pay off. I dont know if this is the best salt in the world, but Im sticking with it. It is economical, it dissolves easily, my water parameters test good with it. I run a mixed reef with it and corals are doing their thing, fish are swimming, and everyone seems happy.

> 3 dayI like using this salt for my tank. Been using it for years, and Ive never had an issue. I dont like the smaller plastic bags vs the tub, but I guess its easier to ship.

> 3 dayI guess it must be ocean salt then. I didnt lab test it but it certainly is salt of some kind according to my salinity meter. I needed it for healing tanks and the red clawed crab that likes brackish water. It is ground finely so it dissolves easy which is great. So far, none of the pets disagree with it so take it for what its worth. This wasnt the most expensive one but considering I needed much less and it is salt from the ocean...its kinda pricey in general. Some aquarium hobbyists say you can just use kosher salt for a fraction of the price but ocean salt is supposed to be more beneficial for the aquatics.
