kai Reed Diffuser

Im sensitive to scents, so I only used a couple of the reeds. It seems okay for me so far. The diffuser is pretty, and it makes the room smell sweet like gardenias. If you like the scent of Kai, you will like this.

So I put this centrally located in the house, thinking it would have a nice gentle wafting scent effect. Reading the box, it said to start with 8 reeds. So, I set it up and in about 3 hours my eyes were watering and I was getting a headache. No worries, I can be a big baby about strong scents (Im looking at you Yankee Candle). I reduced it to 6 reeds and aired the house out. Next day was still too much, gardenia can be a really heavy scent, it clings in the air. Four days later Im down to only three reeds and Ive put a bit of parchment paper in the top to block the oil from coming out of the bottle directly. This seems to have done the trick. Now the scent is gentle, lovely, and reminds me of my honeymoon in Tahiti. The whole island smelled like this. Soooo if you are sensitive to scents maybe just start with a couple reeds and work up from there, rather than starting with 8 and being overwhelmed. Oh and the amount of diffusing oil is HUGE, no wonder its almost $80, this is going to last forever, lol.

I had smelled this in a store once and thought it was wonderful. In my home it was overwhelming. I probably will give it away.

This diffuser has a lovely fresh floral, somewhat tropical scent with excellent projection. The scent is pleasant and fresh, but definitely floral. I have it in our guest bathroom and I catch the delightful scent every time I walk by. For a strong blast of scent, just flip the reeds over and reinsert them into to oil. I think it would work well in a larger space because it projects so well. Every thing about it seems to be high quality -- the glass container is very solid and the reeds seem sturdy as well.

This is the first reed diffuser that I have owned in years. I was hesitant to order it because my memory is that they dont smell very much. I am glad I ordered this one because the bottle is very nice and it produces a wonderful floral smell. As a matter of fact, the smell of this diffuser aligns with the other products in the lineup.

Boy, does this reed diffuser have a wonderful floral scent! Its recommended that you start with 8 reeds, which I did, and this amount will fill your whole room with a wonderful fragrance. The glass bottle is elegant and imprinted with Kai in small print. The top has a cork which fits snugly and perfectly to conceal the scent when not in use. The reeds are dark brown and will go nicely with most color schemes. Compared to other reed diffusers, this one is rather costly. To counter this, I will use just a few reeds rather than the recommended 8 that I used for testing and rating this product. Overall, its a superior diffuser to ones Ive had in the past.

Although Ive purchased this diffuser from Kais website before (and LOVED IT), when I was ready to repurchase, I thought Id save a few bucks on shipping by buying on Amazon instead. BIG MISTAKE. The first clue that something was off was when the cork snapped while I was trying to remove it, getting stuck in the bottle. It was as if the adhesive was old that held the cork to its top, and just gave out. Luckily, I was able to MacGyver it open with a corkscrew wine opener. But the bigger issue is the scent. When I purchased this diffuser off of Kais website, the scent was heavenly and STRONG. It filled up the whole room, and you could get the gorgeous fragrance notes as soon as you walked past. I actually removed a lot of the reeds to lessen the scent because it was so pungent! And it lasted for months and months. This bottle is nothing like that. The overall scent is the same, but it is so much more faint. Ive tried loading it up with reeds, repositioned them back and forth and up and down, but the scent fades within a matter of hours. Its SO disappointing - and I know its not the product itself. Its this particular bottle. My suspicion? These are OLD PRODUCTS. Old, mild scent ... old, faulty bottle. Give this a hard pass and do yourself a favor and pay the extra few bucks to get a fresh bottle from the manufacturer directly - the REAL Kai is so worth it.

Im not big on scented things but I really LOVE the Kai scent. It is so soothing and relaxing! Not sure if I would buy again as it is very pricey, but who knows, I might.

I have bought this product twice, the 1st time I loved it, several months later I purchased again and there was hardly any scent. The oil is also lighter in color than 1st order. Bottom line, 1st order was worth the price, the 2nd order was not.
