> 3 dayThese scissors are the best. Only issue is they are a little heavy and might be tiring for long use. However, they cut better than any scissors I have ever used.

> 3 dayThe difference between Kai and any other scissor manufacturer is like night and day! I had my affordable and splurgy preferences before but these scissors are so comfortable in your hand and cut like buttah. They make that very satisfying scissory sound when they cut and you can tell they are good quality even though they are lightweight.

Greater than one weekSome superior products seems to be hiding in plane sight, this is one of them. I can vouch its soo much easy on your hands as compared to my expensive Gingher. The edge is ground on a steep angle as compared to regular shears, meaning it can cut your fingers just by touching the edges. And yes it can cut multiple layers of cloths, leather with sure ease. This is among one of those rare products which, after using you tend to not go back to any other brands. Good work, Kai!

> 3 dayMy wife sews professionally. She does alterations, repairs, and custom sewing. She stays pretty busy at it, sewing for at least 4 hours nearly every week day. Like many others have mentioned, for a long time we both thought that Gingher scissors were the best. We were loyal to Gingher. Grandma has a wonderful pair of Gingher scissors. But for several years Cindy was unhappy with every one of several new pair of Gingher scissors. Twice we sent scissors in to Gingher for servicing, but they came back no better than when we sent them. They will variously grab in spots, not cut at the very ends of the blades, or be hard to close. Cindy had finally resorted to using a pair of $10 Fiskar scissors, which werent great, but they cut better than the Ginghers. Wanting to help her with this problem, and after reading so many positive reviews, I took it upon myself to order her a pair of Kai Dressmaker Shears that cost $22 back then. She was so happy with them that I quickly ordered three different pair of Kai: the 5-1/2 embroidery scissors, the 8-inch Professional shears; and these 10-inch Professional Shears. Cindy is thrilled with all of them. She says, “They are comfortable to use. They require very little force to cut even heavy fabrics. And they cut the sheerest fabrics just as well. They are sharp, smooth, and cut well right out to the tips of the blades.” I posted our first review of the 8-inch Dressmaker Shears two years ago. Since then Cindy has been using all four pair of her Kai scissors nearly every day. She keeps the 8-inch Professional Shears at her sewing machine. She keeps the 8-inch Dressmaker Shears at the ironing board. She uses the embroidery scissors for snipping thread at the sewing machine. And she keeps these 10-inch Professional scissors for when she needs to cut bulk fabric. Cindy says, “For two years now I’ve been using these scissors every day. The three larger pair cut just as well as when they were new. Only recently, the embroidery scissors have gotten to where they don’t cut so well on the last ½ inch of the tips where I use them constantly to snip thread. It’s finally time to spend another $17 for a new pair of those.” I asked her if she thought the Processional series scissors were worth 4 times the cost of the Dressmaker Shears. Cindy says, “If I only had the cheaper ones, I would be very happy. But I really like the Professional Shears. They just feel more precise, and smooth, and the grip is nicer. I still want both.” A few months after Cindy started using the Kai scissors even Grandma abandoned her Gingher’s. About her Kai scissors she says, “Wow. Now I can’t imagine not having them.” I’m sorry if our effusiveness sounds a little too much like a “Walton Family” story, but I don’t know any other way to try to communicate how good we judge these scissors to be. It is so satisfying to find a really great tool at a reasonable price. It’s just a shame that they aren’t made in America.

> 3 dayExtremely sharp. Very durable and reliable scissors. I use for cutting leather, and other heavy duty vinyls. These things are awesome. Sharpen them once or twice every couple months and they’re perfect. Although you can never get them back to their original sharpness. Surely my favorite scissors!

> 3 dayWanted to upgrade my shears from Gingher but VERY disappointed with the quality of these. The molded handles were unpleasantly rough had a sharp mold ridge and the end of the finger holes that dug in. This defect was not unique to this partucular pair as I also tried the 7230 model and they had the same handle issue. Also, the molded part was not even trimmed up properly and had sharp pieces hanging off of it. The metal edges around the outside of the finger holes were so sharp that if you bumped them or ran your hand along them, they would cut you. I have really small hands (size XS in gloves) but had to size up to this pair (the 7230s were too small for my hand in spite of being for smaller hands). I dont know how a person With larger hands could use these, and the blades are only about 3/8 to 1/2 longer than my 8 Ginghers. I tested cutting ability and ease of use on various fabrics - these are no sharper than my 10 year old 8 Ginger dressmaker shears. Definitely not worth the money - seems like just a lot of hype around these. They were returned ASAP.

14-04-2025I bought this to replace a fairly expensive brand that pushed the fabric half way down the blade instead of cutting the full blade length. There is no comparison. I am a hobby sewer, working with all fabric weights. There are no words to express how much I love the Kai shears. Will use the old shears for leather.

> 3 dayOUTSTANDING shears! the reviews I studied before purchasing this pair of scissors wrote truthfully. These are absolutely the best ones Ive ever owned. Id been using a pair of Fiskars which had been just fine, but then I began cutting four strips at a time of a heavier fabric so I could finish crocheting a rug. The Fiskars could not quite do the job, so I laid them aside and waited until the Kai shears arrived. My, oh, my, it WAS like cutting through butter! Such a wise investment and one day one of my daughters will get these and be so happy.

> 3 dayThis is worth the price. Real precision and sharp as scissors are capable of. Really well made.
