KAI Scissors 7250 10in Shears, Pictured

Have now bought two pairs of these for the seamstresses in our family. Having tried these compared to their Fiskars and Singers, these are “next level”. Cutting is effortless, and I suspect as it should be.

So I bought these Kai Professional Shears for my wife because of a review that I read where someone had rated them top of the line in comparison to all the other shears on the market. Well, out of all the shears and scissors that we have ever owned, the Kai 7250s are certainly number 1. They are tough, built-to-last, and razor sharp. The Japanese steel that they are made out of is incredibly strong and it enables the scissors to keep their edge for years to come. I used to think Gingher were the absolute best, but I would put these higher on the charts because they are tougher and constructed for the professional who is going to need to effortlessly cut through clothes on a daily basis. The rubber handle is dense and heavy. These are true quality! worth it!

I bought a pair of these for myself and instantly fell in love. Theyre sharper than any pair of Ginghers Ive ever had, and they just fit nicely in my hand. I bought my sis-in-law a pair, and she thought I was being funny giving her a pair of junk scissors for Christmas, that was until she practically sliced her finger off messing with them like they were FIskars or some cheapo brand like that. She called me up as she was trying to stop the bleeding and told me they were the sharpest things shed ever touched! Last year when she passed away, my brother gave me some of her sewing stuff, and those scissors had been passed over as trash because someone had used them to cut wire or something and damaged the blades. I sent them back to KAI and requested a repair, and they re-sharpened them for me and did it for free in memory of my SIL. Excellent company and wonderful customer service!

What a difference! Too early to tell how well they will hold their edge but for now its the best Ive ever used. Light weight (at least they feel that way), balanced, comfortable in my hand and sharp. I cut through Sunbrella plus like it was paper without having to scissor - got on my line and followed it to the end. My Gingher scissors are now a distant second in preference - and theyre pretty good.

I work in the upholstery business. I had spoke with a few people in my shop and they said the best scissors are Kais. Do I did some shopping and decided to purchase these. Ever since I have got them, I have enjoyed having them and they cut through anything. I highly recommend these scissors if you are looking for a great pair at an affordable price.

Enough said. If you are debating about getting one, let me tell you: I wish I hadnt waited so long.

these large scissors are perfect. Don’t have good strength in my hands, but these Kai 10 inch scissors are easy to use. They have some weight to them but because they are balanced and the scissor action so smooth, when I cut they are light as a feather. Finger holes are so comfortable to grasp and the blades cut fabric like a hot knife through butter. Have a variety of high quality scissors but am a Kai convert.

I was going for a handmade pair of shears from England but they are unavailable thanks to Covid. I got these instead for about half the price and so far so good. They are the tiniest bit long for me, but they are excellent in terms of balance and ease of use, I have sore arthritic hands and I am happy with these. They are micro serrated, so I hope I can get them sharpened when the time comes, I am not a fan of throwing out perfectly useful things. Time will tell.

First, let me say I love these scissors. (Can you love a scissors - well, turns out you can.) Pricey but worth every penny. My hands now get a bit stiffer than they used to and so I started to think I needed something else, maybe something sharper. Ive mainly used Ginghers, along with Singer and Fiskars and they have all worked well And Ive worked with lots of fabric types and leather over the years, making clothing, tents, sleeping bags, guitar cases, down jackets, upholstered chairs, shade sails, etc. Fast forward to the Covid pandemic. I was in the house every day staring at all those sewing and upholstery projects I hadnt gotten to yet and decided to treat myself and buy these. Wow. Whether you cut thru one layer of fabric or many layers, this is exceptionally dreamy to use. No lint build-up on the blade. No binding with layers. No squeaking. A very clean cut no matter what kind of fabric you are cutting and the pressure you need to apply is the same. My hands are thanking me.

I bought this to replace a fairly expensive brand that pushed the fabric half way down the blade instead of cutting the full blade length. There is no comparison. I am a hobby sewer, working with all fabric weights. There are no words to express how much I love the Kai shears. Will use the old shears for leather.
