Nice Meter with some great functions!! Bought to upgrade because it reads a higher amperage on the clamp function. Has other nice features also that makes it as nice as the comparable $300 Fluke. Dont forget to purchase the Magnetic Holder to go with it!!

this is an awsome meter for the money! Got the one that dose it all! The mount for the negative prob for test voltage line to ground is so convenient love it! I bout this for testing voltage and capacitors for well pumps! Works great! Very happy with it! Feels real solid and heavy duty! Nice large case too so you can store extra probs!

Many clamp meters provide AC amp readings, but in solar proects you also need DC amp reading. This meter does it all. Solidly built, Klein quality, with all the settings needed for AC and DC projects. Recommended!

Has a lot of features that are great for troubleshooting that Fluke doesnt offer in the same price range. Not even close! My only complaint so far is that the NCV isnt audible.

I picked this meter up because my old fluke finally bought the farm. Honestly, for in this price range, Im not sure that you can find a better meter for everyday industrial 24v/12v use.

I bought this meter specifically for the amp clamp feature and unfortunately the meter I received did not have a functioning amp clamp. I have seen a couple other reviews about the amp clamp giving inaccurate readings and not working at all. Also if you are like me and wait a few months before trying the amp clamp feature, good luck dealing with Klein Tools’ warranty service which takes 2-4 weeks just to respond to you after you submit a warranty request. Overall the rest of the meter works fine but the main feature is broken so I am giving it a very low rating. If I could go back I would have just spent the extra money and gone with a Fluke.

I didnt use my CL800 for several months after I received it, and when I went to use it, a solid tone occurs when I put it in the Voltage selection. I can clear the tone by changing to a different option, but as soon as I touch a button the tone starts again. In the past month, Ive contacted Klein Tools tech support 5 times to remedy the problem. Each time I was promised someone was going to call me back, and that never happened until today. Chuck, the tech support guy for the CL800 continuously talked over me and tried to explain the concept of Amazon vendors, which I needed no explanation of. He was very condescending and probably has no business communicating with the general public. He tried to blame the problem on me even though I explained it was like this out of the box. Finally, he had Kathy (Cathy?) call me back from customer service. She informed me that Amazon is not an authorized vendor for the their products, but they stand behind their products, so they would do me a favor and honor the warranty with my Amazon invoice. Now, Ive got to ship the tool (at my expense) back to the company, and at some point (she couldnt provide an estimate of how long), theyll send a new meter to back to me at no charge. Ive bought several Klein products in the past, but Ive never had to deal with their tech/customer support. After the experience Ive had with this company, Ill never buy another one of their products again.

lack of wire piercing probes is a minus in my opinion.

Large display with back light for easy reading. Comfortable grip and feel. Tough and rugged construction.
