Working on a remodel of a 60 year old house, decided to add this to my collection. So glad I did, more than once it lit up on a circuit that I thought was off at the breaker. This house is wired really poorly and this saved me from getting zapped at least 3 times. (why would you wire a light to two breakers? why?)

The problem i have with this is i need a ncv tester that can do 12 to 48 volts and then 48 and a 1000. This will allow me to measure 24 volts out of a stepdown transformer while there are other high voltage wire around. I work with alot of 3 phase 480 and 208.

The plug in tester works, but the LED’s are very dim. They’re fine for indoor work, but I was working on an outdoor receptacle on a cloudy day. I plugged it in and cupped my hand over it and saw no light. Found out the hard way a couple minutes later that this receptacle was not on the circuit I thought it was on and it was hot.

Very important tool. Dont skimp on a cheap version of this product thats like going discount bungee jumping... Accurate and easy to use. Good quality..
