> 3 dayThese randomly shut off, there doesnt appear to be a rhyme or reason to it. Otherwise theyd be great. So unfortunately you cant use them on anything where random shut offs are an issue, which is many things. Im pretty disappointed because I bought many at first thinking they were a great value, but not a great value if I have to replace them with something else.

> 3 dayIts great that you can name and control EACH port separately via Alexa, via the KMC Smart app. You download KMC smart app and then choose the KMC Smart skill from Alexa. I bought (4) and immediately programmed two. Upon command, it will turn on 2 of three lights and not the 3rd, then the next time the 1 light and not the other two, then the next week it would do all. I kept the two because I need the outlets, but returned the other two before installing. I just wont rely on voice control for those.

> 3 dayIm using this with my Raspberry pi and my two 3D printers, really nice to have Octoprint (running on the pi) toggle power between the two printers! And its also really easy to flash Tasmota without having to open it up! I used a NodeMCU ESP32 to connect to the device and flashed the device OTA.

Greater than one weekI got this plugs on a sale for $ 16.14 a pack, this means $8.07 per plug. Initial impressions, construction looks good, this seems to be made by KMC and not a rebrand as it regular with all todays procuts as the brand is stamped on the product and not a label. The internal looks of good design and contructions, i got this to be used on my server rack so i can turn off/on individual products in case i need to restart them , like a server or switch. My initial problem was with the claim that After a power outage, outlets will retain their most recent setting to save energy. this is currently not true with the current firmware version, i tried diferent ways and would not work this way so it will not serve my purpuse unless i put tasmota on it. You can control each individual plug on the top row, and the one on the bottom is always on as indicated. I flashed this with tuya-convert and after that i programed the relays to retain memory and stay on the last state. One aded value of this plug is that it has total power monitoring, you can measure the total consumption of all the switches and this is good if you want to monitor your devices or appliances. Another good thing is the little plastic plug on the back that is supposed to align on a US 2 outlet receptacle for added stability, however you may need to remove this if you are going to plug this into any other place like the output of a UPS like in my case. Overall, this is a great value, im taking half a star because of the claim that the relays stay on the last state, this may be corrected on a future firmware upgrade, however this is common for smart devices with a few exceptions.

> 3 dayHad hoped to use this to control individual outlet connections via Alexa. I spent a couple of hours repeating the instructions. While the strip finally paired with the KMC app, and the app was successfuly added to the Alexa app as a smart home skill, the power strip was never identified and paired by Alexa. So I have to control things manually via KMC app. Also WIFI compatibility issues with new WIFI 6 networking in my home. Disappointing.

> 3 dayFlash these with Tasmota OTA with Tuya-Convert and set them up in Home Assistant to monitor power. Use the power draw to build automations, for instance, when energy is no longer being drawn, your washing machine is done (check the amperage of your washing machine first, of course). Three of the four outlets are individually controlled, one is always on. These outlets are SO cheap. But a handful.

> 3 dayThis would be a five star review if they didnt raise the price every time I go to order more. Of course, I want to order more because they work great, and I love being able to monitor energy for each of my aquariums. No longer the value I found when I first ordered them. Also, a huge bummer is that the outlet doesnt revert to the last state after a power outage. It all reverts to OFF, so I need to manually turn my aquarium filter, heater and lights back on after the power goes out even briefly.

03-04-2025At first it appears to be a great buy as you get 3 switched plugs and energy monitoring. However once you have them for awhile you quickly realize they were a waste of money. I bought the 2 pack and both will randomly switch all plugs off for no reason. I had them hooked up to some important IT gear for energy monitoring and would frequently be alerted by the alarms of our battery backups and lo and behold the plugs turned them selves off.

Greater than one weekFor the Wi-Fi and power monitoring functions, this works amazing with the KMC app. However, these do not stay in any outlet and will frequently just fall out. Unfortunately theres no way to properly stabilize it, unless you feel like breaking out the duct tape and attaching it to the wall outlet that way. A rather shoddy design, and a major flaw. They really should have made it so you could screw it into place, but its missing even that common feature.

> 3 dayThese come out of the wall really easy. I use both in places they arent disturbed, and just the weight of three 2 prong plugs slowly pulls one away from the wall. I have to push it back in once a week or so. Setup was easy. It works reliably. I have another brand plug that loses the network connection often, these do not.
