Kind of a pain to have to clip off the plastic peg in the back. It was in the way and I couldn’t plug it in otherwise. It should be easily removable. The directions are faulty, the app they tell you to download is incorrect. The correct app is called “Smart Life”. I already had that app for some other devices I already own, so once I realized that thanks to another reviewer, it was quite simple to add this device. My other complaint is that the plugs are much too close together side-by-side. It’s very difficult to plug three things in altogether, especially since one of the items I needed to plug-in has a wider plug than most. I was able to resolve that by using a converter from two prong to three prong, even though my original plug was three prong to begin with. But it extended it out far enough that I was able to make it work. Alexa was easily able to discover the device and from that point programming was simple. Without the stupid plastic bag on the back, faulty instructions, and needing to jury rig one of the plugs in order to use all three, I would have given this five stars. If I didn’t happen to have that plug converter on hand, I would have only been able to use two of them. And even then it was pretty tight. hopefully this will get resolved in the future models.

3 programmable plugs and 1 always on plug. Added bonus power usage monitoring.

Difficult to initially set up. Had to place unit right next to router, but once set was able to place in room I needed it in.

I was very excited when I got this. The packaging looked nice. The app looked okay, but it was not very friendly (for example, I had to put my Wi-Fi info every time I wanted to connect. Also, there was not an actual picture of this products and I needed to choose the closest. My internet is dual 2.4GHz and 5GHz, but after many tries, I gave up. I am not sure what the issue was, but I think the internet was supposed to be only 2.4 as it said that I have to change my network setting.

I had no problem setting the switch up. It works great with Alexa. Ive not had it disconnect once in 2 months.

Did not connect to Alexa right away... It only allowed me to use the application to turn the plug on or off. Once connected with the Alexa it worked great!

For the Wi-Fi and power monitoring functions, this works amazing with the KMC app. However, these do not stay in any outlet and will frequently just fall out. Unfortunately theres no way to properly stabilize it, unless you feel like breaking out the duct tape and attaching it to the wall outlet that way. A rather shoddy design, and a major flaw. They really should have made it so you could screw it into place, but its missing even that common feature.

The switch works great. It is easy to set up with the app. Dont really need it but the app also records usage. I like that one outlet is constant on.

The good is that it helped with monitoring electric usage for gauging power requirements that I needed. So it achieved what I got it for. The app was easy to use. However, the bad part is when you lose power, this defaults to OFF, and the only way to turn it ON is to hit the power button, which is a pain when it is tucked behind a server rack. I ended up removing it once I no longer needed to gauge the power usage.
