Lake Country Dual-Action Backing Plate, Flexible Plate with Hook-and-Loop Fastener, 3 Inch, Black and Yellow with Inner Steel Construction

You need this backing plate if your DA has a habit of stalling on body lines.

I purchased this backing plate for my pc. It was shipped by Bigfly sporting goods but received some generic looking plate nothing like pics shown no adapter to screw on to the polisher only a rubber plate with a larger threaded hole.

Was having trouble finding 4 pads for my PC and ordered a handful of 3.5 pads, this fits them perfect.

I purchased and expected to receive the 3” backing plate (PN: 43-073DA) but was sent the 3.5” backing plate (PN: 44-085DA). Unfortunately, the 3.5” plate will not work with the 3.5” Lake Country pads, as the edges are left exposed.

This was the second attempt to find a backing plate for a Porter Cable 7424XP. The threads were almost, but not quite the same so it could not be mounted. Needless to say, that was a disappointment. I still have not been able to use my new Polisher as I have yet to find a backing plate that fits.

Ordered in July and tried out on my old Meguiars g110 in October. As others have stated, it wobbles too much for being a backing plate. I’ve used numerous items from this company, and this is the first that has let me down. Will try other options since my original plate finally separated after all these years. At least I still have my 3 other polishers with plates to use.

The hook and ladder grip is awesome. Better than what came with my Porter Cable.

I made the mistake of not looking at the reviews. This is not even remotely close to the same backing plate as pictured. Threaded adapter and washer were not included.
