LAMAZE - My First Fishbowl Toy, Capture Babys Curiosity with Sea Creatures to Rattle, Squeak and Collect with Colorful Patterns, Interesting Textures and Unique Sounds, 6 Months and Older

At first glance, this may appear to be a very simple, really simple toy. But looks can be deceiving as they were for me when I was searching for that perfect toy for my grandson who is 9 months old. At first, I did pass it by without a second look because I was sure there was nothing he could do with this toy and have any fun let alone learn anything. Boy, was I wrong. After searching the web for several hours (we know how that goes, dont we?) I returned to the Amazon toy department. I have now learned that if you are looking for toys, shop no further than Amazon! I purchased this My First Fishbowl, and when I received it, I was just about bowled over at how cute it was. There are so many details about this toy that a toddler of 9 months wont remember until hes about 2! Each fish is different. Each fish makes a different sound. Each fish is a different color in different fabrics new to a babys touch. Then, theres the fishbowl itself! It is made so well of such quality material that my grandson found it just as much fun to play with the empty bowl. The inside of the bowl is actually lined with a pillow-soft, satin, water-design fabric that is very attractive to the little ones. The clear sides are of touch vinyl that wont give way to any abuse by someone for whom this is made. Its so neat that even I like playing with it. This is as good as it gets, and I hope to purchase more toys made by Lamaze. If you want fun--if you want learning--you get both with this toy.

My daughter loved this from about 6 - 15 months. She liked the different sounds the creatures make and she liked putting things in the fishbowl, but most of all she loved chewing on the crab toy. It was seriously her favorite thing to teethe on for at least 6 months straight, At the end of the day, that poor crab was totally gross and soaked with drool but it never faded and nothing ever came loose or undone. Really cute little toy.

I bought the toy based on the understanding I should be able to fill the sides with water, however, it does not seem possible to do that with the toy I received. Im quite disappointed, hence the loss of 2 stars. However, the toy itself is lovely otherwise. It is colourful, the toys either squeaky or crinkly which my daughter loves. Good quiet and interesting toy just wish the sides could fill with water as advertised.

Really cute and good quality but beware our cat steals these toys and plays with them. They do seem a lot like cat toys...perfect size and noises!

Awesome toy for my 1 year old - she loves it. I previously had this for my older child years ago and it was a favorite!

Bought this for our grandson for Christmas. The three year old likes it too! Should get one for my grand daughter as well.
