It’s fantastic. It even has you building the best part last, and then you get an incredibly satisfying “mmm... worth it” feeling. And the Lego Hagrid is a big plus.

This was a Christmas gift for my three grandsons. It was a huge hit. They absolutely loved it. They excitedly FaceTimed me to show me the completed project. My favorite part was all the characters that came with the kit.

Great design of Hogwarts Castle, easy to build and the minifigures are the best

LEGOs Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall is an amazing LEGO set. It is large, very detailed, and fun. The set is straightforward to put together but there are a lot of steps and pieces. The instruction book is huge. It took two adults about 3 hours to complete everything. LEGOs instructions are image based only, there is no text. They are easy to follow, however, and LEGO makes sure to give you a few extra of the smaller pieces in case you should misplace one during a build. This is not a set for small children. There are many intricate steps and lots of tiny pieces. The set feels substantial and sturdy when completed. Once everything is completed youll be greeted with a large castle that is truly beautiful and detailed. One side of the castle is the exterior shell, while the other side is open allowing you to see the interior and play with it. It is like a LEGO doll house. Included with the set are many mini figures, and one not so mini figure... thats Hagrid! His character is larger than the rest, which is a fun touch. Each of the mini figures have two faces that you change by rotating the heads. There are lots of accessories, such as wands, mugs, food, and pets, to scatter about the set and play with. There are also many moving parts, such as the doors, the swing out spiral staircase up the tower to Dumbledores office, the house flags, and the magic mirror. If you are a Harry Potter fan you will notice lots of thoughtful details from the series. All in all... an amazing LEGO set for the Harry Potter fan.
