Daughter absolutely loves the set and comes with ever character a Harry Potter fan would want including some of the pets. Plus its Legos, was a great present for your kids to keep there mind busy.

Our child (9 year old) does not like Harry Potter all that much. However, this piece was a real hit. The finished building looks almost exactly like the Great Hall of the movies. And it has new (to me) pieces such as curves that attach in new ways (definitely not like the vintage sets). The instructions are images and they detail piece by piece what each of six bags of lego pieces build. If your child has an afternoon free, they can build this easily, with some challenging moments (the curves are the most difficult, as is the hinged part of the roof). Overall, this is a great choice for the budding lego enthusiast. Below the lego architecture sets but above many of the other sets of this number of pieces. Great fun!
