LEGO Ideas 21316 The Flintstones Building Kit (748 Pieces)

...buy this for your Lego/Flintstones fans. Easy build. Fun for display. My son loved it.

Honestly - this set is a bargain at its $60 price point. If you loved (or currently love) Flintstones, youll get some great nostalgia from this kit. Build time and complexity are about average, meaning you wont get bored nor frustrated during the afternoon that it takes. This is probably one of my favorite kits honestly. It doesnt have a huge footprint, it gets tons of compliments, and it brings back so many fantastic memories. Its money well spent!

I like the set, and enjoyed building it, but Im disappointed that the LEGO designers who adapted this from the LEGO Ideas creator, chose to omit some things that could have made the set amazing: 1. No Dino the Dinosaur--there is a picture of him on a TV set with a news report that he is missing. 2. No Pebbles and no Bamm Bamm. 3. The lack of inclusion of a cartoon dinosaur, like the one Fred uses at his gravel quarry job. 4. While Wilma and Betty have two expressions to use on their head pieces, Fred and Barney only have one. Overall, the set is cute, and maybe including Dino and a cartoonish dinosaur goes beyond the LEGO Ideas requirement for the number of pieces that can be used, or was not cost effective. It was still fun to build and Im glad I have it on my shelf. One other minor point, the man who came up with this Idea set created an AMAZING Welcome to Bedrock Sign which truly should have been included as part of the final product. The 1st picture Ive attached is the creators set, the 2nd is the ACTUAL set as released by LEGO.

Bought for 7 year old nephew and he LOVED it! He built it himself with minimal help. Its really cute and he loves playing with it.

What a cute set. I was entertained by Fred, Wilma, Betty and Barney for some years lol 10 y.o. grandson had a great time putting this together, just in a few hours too had has never seen the cartoon. The only think we noticed was there wasnt a Dino and Im sure we will meet Pebbles, Bam-Bam and Dino in a future kit lol Is there going to be kits from all the adult cartoons weve had over the years? Im looking forward to The Jetsons lol
