> 3 dayHonestly - this set is a bargain at its $60 price point. If you loved (or currently love) Flintstones, youll get some great nostalgia from this kit. Build time and complexity are about average, meaning you wont get bored nor frustrated during the afternoon that it takes. This is probably one of my favorite kits honestly. It doesnt have a huge footprint, it gets tons of compliments, and it brings back so many fantastic memories. Its money well spent!

> 3 dayThis LEGO Flintstones set is a lot of fun to build. I grew up watching the Flintstones, and it brought back some fond memories (and I got the theme song stuck in my head, of course). I love the tiger print curtains and the blue door. I love the shape of the building and how it really resembles the Flintstones house. I love that the roof is angled and the edges are rounded. It is a really good stone house effect. I really like the use of color and texture in this set. The set includes Fred, Wilma, Barney, and Betty minifigures. If youre a fan of LEGO Ideas, of The Flintstones, of LEGO, or of cute stone-age LEGO toys, or you think you might be, then this is a great set for you. If youre wondering whether to get this set, Yabba-Dabba-Do! The pieces come in 6 numbered bags, with smaller bags inside the main bags. When you build it, the instructions will have you build using the pieces from the bags labeled 1, then once those bags are completed, continue with the pieces from the bags labeled 2, and so on. Ive found that its useful to open all of the bags for the particular number, but keep the pieces a little bit separate. The pieces arent randomly distributed between bags - instead, all of the pieces of a particular type may be in one or two bags, so if you dump the bags out and keep the pieces slightly separate, once youve found which pile your piece is in, you may find the rest of them in that same pile or in that one and one other. The instruction book, with just over 180 pages, has nice imagery, clear instructions, and a QR code so you can read the building instructions from a tablet or other device using the LEGO Life app. Within the LEGO Life app, for this set, you can download a pdf version of the instructions, and access an alternate build idea for the set - more fun! The alternate build idea for this set is a Tropi-Copter. The alternate build includes photos of the build from multiple angles, but it is left to the builder to figure out how to build it from those pictures. Like other LEGO Ideas sets, the instruction booklet also contains information about the Fan Designer of the set, the LEGO Designers, and has fun facts about The Flintstones. For both the included instruction booklet and the pdf version, all text is provided in English, French, and Spanish. The instructions themselves, in usual LEGO style, are all pictures and symbols. The LEGO Ideas line is a great way that LEGO has created to engage with the LEGO fan community. Fans can design and build (physically or virtually) LEGO creations that they would like to see LEGO produce, and upload them to the LEGO Ideas site where other fans can vote on them. Designs that reach 10,000 fan votes get automatically put into a queue for consideration as a set that LEGO will produce. Several are selected, and then LEGO Designers design the set that LEGO will actually produce, ensuring things like structural stability and LEGO standards, refining it to be the best version of the set, while keeping true to the original design that fans voted for. Each year, LEGO puts out several new Ideas sets, and retires some previous sets.

> 3 dayThis set is awesome in the fact that it really reflects the iconic characters of the Flinstones. The set itself is easy to put together, it has almost 800 pieces, but because of all the smaller units, it does not take that long or is that difficult to complete. The figures look great, and the house/car as well. The only bad thing I can call out for this set is the fact that Dino is missing. I dont understand why they did not make one for him, except likely cost to create a face on a dinosaur, but it is a pity since it feels like the family is not complete. Outside of that, it contains all the main characters I care about and it even has some bowling parts. Definitely one to own for any Lego and Flintstones fan.
