> 24 hourPurchased this for Christmas! Our son 11 years old has been asking for it for over 3 years and we figured we should get it now before the retire the design. It’s a lot of money but it’s also a lot of Lego. I’m sure it will not disappoint once Christmas comes around.

> 24 hourIf your even kind of contemplating getting this just do it! I mean it’s almost a fact not even an opinion that if you’re a Star Wars and Lego fan this is the must have, the end all be all, the great white buffalo. And you know once this thing is discontinued by the manufacturer it’s probably gonna be worth a couple grand so just justify by telling yourself that

> 24 hourI bought this for my son for Christmas and was very glad I did. He’s a very advanced lego builder for an 11 year-old, but I was thinking I would have to do the lion’s share of work. He ended up putting it together in about 14 hours over three days. I supervised the build for about three of those hours. Make sure you have a large spot identified to build it on and a place to put it afterwards. This thing is quite fragile and you won’t be moving it from place to place often. The instructions are amazing. It’s a full, spiral-bound book with the history of the Falcon and it’s specs along with the directions. What made this really shine was the custom light kit from Bricksmax we bought separately. My son also put this in and seeing it lit up really adds the final touches. This thing is awesome for stop motion videos which my kids love doing. When they’re done we’ll put it in a stand in our bookshelf and may get the Star Destroyer but it won’t be anywhere near as detailed a set as this is.

> 24 hourI finally finished building this beauty!! It took me over a month, but I was in no rush and had to divide my time between work and family time. You definitely have to have a place for it to sit WHILE you build, let alone display. Be aware, although the frame is pretty solid, when you start to add all the outer layers this set still has quite a bit of give when handling and moving. A lot of the top pieces sit using gravity to hold them in place. There are little spaces and gaps here and there, but if you’ve built other UCS sets before, this should be no surprise.Considering the amount of pieces and the total weight, I find this acceptable. I only mention this because it will definitely take away the “swoosh ability “ factor. Darn. Of course, at the end of the day, or late night, she is absolutely a stunning piece of work to behold. The detail is amazing! You really need to see it for yourself.

> 24 hourRidiculously expensive but a thoroughly enjoyable build. I have found it somewhat difficult to move safely once assembled.

> 24 hourThis master piece is just down right AMAZING!!! It is so beautiful just with the box itself. Packaging was great for being delivered fast. I bought this for my brother and I, hopefully we don’t fight over it like people do over family property lol. Anyways my brother almost had a heart attack just from seeing the box thank god he’s still alive to help me build it. Me being 18 I ran to my apartments office begging for the box it was an awesome feeling of excitement. It is expensive but it sure is worth the memories that will come along with it. Thank you lego and the Star Wars fan base! BUY IT DONT HESITATE

> 24 hourI mean where do you even start with this? This is an AMAZING build, I had so much fun building this and was up way too late for a lot of nights working on it. There is SO much detail throughout the entire set, it is so well thought out and the attention to every little detail is awesome. Take lots of pictures throughout the build to reference later if you need to put something back Be prepared to spend a ton of time building this, I dont think I even really know how much time I spent on it, but every minute of it was so much fun. I finished it ~13 days after I started it, but I worked on it in the morning, during breaks and at night after the kids went to bed. I highly suggest getting some trays to put the pieces into for each step, I bought (2) trays and would open the bags and put all the larger parts into one of the trays and the smaller parts into the other tray and that really sped up the process. I only started that on maybe day 3 and it was a lot smoother once I did. The other big suggestion that I have would be to look ahead a few steps in the instructions each time you are starting a new piece/section; there were a couple times you could build duplicates of pieces, but it only showed you on the last step. That didnt happen very many times, usually the first step would show you x2 and you could build the multiple pieces at the same time, but I definitely got caught by that at least once. Make sure you have a big area to build, I used a larger coffee table to build on and the couch to keep the unopened bags on. If you have small kids be careful, there are lots of small parts around during the build and it would be easy for them to get ahold of them. A lot of people asked me what was the point of all the detail on the inside of the Millennium Falcon once the top was on. Each of the panels comes off the top to expose all the details on the inside, so you can take a look at things later or leave a couple panels off if you want to. I would recommend taking pictures when you are assembling those sections of where the connecting rods go so you remember how to put it back together when you do that them off. There is definitely a certain order it needs to be done in so that all the pieces lay properly. If you are going to get a stand or case, know that all of them require you to remove if not all of the landing pads most of the landing pads, which kind of sucks, but it definitely helps with the foot print in the end if you are going to display it. Overall I highly recommend this set if you are into Star Wars and enjoy a more complicated build. I had a lot of fun building it and love having it to display in my office!
