Pros- awesome unit, mostly quiet, nice capacity. Cons- not suitable for elderly, as you got to toss a full 6l plastic vat like a pizza to reinstall after filling. Also, where the cutout is for the steam pointer, and handle, there are two 90 degree angles of plastic which could have been rounded for safer operation when handling while filling.. Sides that, it is keeking ass and taking names in my apt, love it. PLants love it.

I am impressed. Whisper quiet. Easy app to control from my cellphone. Auto shutoff when set humidity is reached. Uses only distilled water. Really helped with breathing at night with a cold.

Lots to like about this humidifier but, there are a couple of minor things that could be improved in the next design. As others have said, filling the container is not nearly as simple as it could be with a better design. The container would be easier to clean if the fill hole was larger. The sleep mode works but, when turned back on, it doesnt seem to revert to its original setting. A longer cord would be helpful. The set humidity level doesnt seem to work consistently. Overall a great product; very quiet, well built, so far operates very smoothly. I would highly recommend it.

Only use if you’re a renter - bad for your hvac due to sonic features. Works fast and is impressive!

I purchased my humidifier back in Jan 2021. Overall, it is a great purchase. It is easy to operate and make the setting just as you want them. We used it regularly for almost two years before it started to not work properly. I reached out to Levoit to share my humidifier eas no longer working properly, and with little effort they stood by their 2 year warranty and are sending me a new humidifier to place it. Definitely would recommend this humidifier and the Levoit brand to anyone.

In-built hygrometer is woeful. I have two different hygrometers, one is +/- 5% accuracy and the other is +/- 1% accuracy, both of which are usually within 2-3% reading of each other. The Levoit’s in-built hygrometer reading is woefully inaccurate: when the unit is on, it fluctuates wildly in a +/- 10% band around the reading of my two hygrometers; when off, it is always a solid 10% or more below. Worse, the (incorrect) reading can go from 40% to 20% the moment you turn off the unit—doesn’t make sense at all. Because of this inaccuracy, while the auto function is nice in theory, it is actually useless in practice because the unit automatically turns off and on based on faulty readings and not based on the actual humidity. Also, the minimum target humidity is 40%, which can hardly be reached on a dry winter day, so “auto” is effectively “always on”. Cool mist is ineffective. I have two hygrometers to check it. Warm mist is ok. Maximum warm mist is the setting I’ve been using. I can see the humidity budge by maybe about 3-4% in my 300 sq ft space, better than nothing. However, for the amount of logistics around getting distilled water for the unit, it’s not effective enough for me to justify continuing to use this unit.

I rarely write reviews but this one deserves the extra miles. My Levoit started making a humming rotating sound after 5 months of usage that made it difficult to fall asleep and we had to stop using it at night. I sent an email with a video to the company who responded swiftly and requested few extra information. They followed up promptly, they exchanged it in a timely manner and they communicated efficiently. I would recommend them any time! The humidifier itself is very useful and we can’t sleep without it anymore.

I dont like leaving reviews until Ive had a chance to break in a product. Well sure enough as much as I love the list and quietness of this product as well as smartphone integration the warm mist is now dead feature. Guess I need to get it exchanged now as I planned on buying a second unit as well. Ill be calling on Monday after speaking to Amazon. 5/30/23 - Unit replaced under warranty. Lets hope this one lasts longer than 3 months. Customer service was great in handleing my issue.

First of all I will fully refute the reviews about its longevity. I bought this last November and we use it every single night in my daughters room. She has sever eczema. Shes on steroid ointment that weve had to regularly apply multiple times a week since she was an infant. The steroid ointment seemed to stop being as effective so I looked into an alternative solution. Based on the mostly good reviews of this unit and the fact that it provides options for both hot and cold humidity, I gave it a go. Within a couple of days the results were amazing! By the 3rd night her skin was as clear as Ive ever seen it. We leave it on auto and it keeps her room at about 65% humidity. Yes, that is not good for the items in her room, paint, and windows, but I dont care as long as my daughters skin doesnt look like shes been rolling around in poison ivy. Almost everything in her room has a thin layer of white film on it. Again, this is a minimal concern and IMO is a testament to the power of this little thing. Ive used 2 other humidifiers in the past and this one blows them both out of the water. After about 5 months I finally decided to clean it because it was really starting to get noisy. Compared to others, this thing cleaned incredibly easily. The cakes of lime build up simply washed away with a rinse, and the little heating square thing (filter maybe?) was the only thing that had to actually be scraped off. 10 minutes and it was back together as quiet as a mouse once again! I dont leave many reviews but I wanted to leave this one for other parents out there struggling with a child with severe eczema. I would buy this again in an instant if it died on me today. When she stays a few days away from home, her eczema starts to flare up again, but this little humidifier keeps it in check amazingly. Dont listen to the bad reviews. I know it sucks to receive a faulty item, but if it behaves as it should, it easily deserves 6 stars!

I cant say this doesnt work, and it has nice features. I can only give 3 stars because of the overall design. You have to turn it over and fill it from the underside. That doesnt sound so terrible, and maybe could be worse, but its kind of a pain. the carry handle is on top, and the bottom always has condensation, so you end up dripping water all the way to the kitchen. I suppose you could take the entire unit when refilling, but that would be annoying too. Also, the fill opening at first seems large enough, but thats only true until you want to wash the inside. I let mine sit way too long unused, and wanted to wash it with soap. The opening is too small for me to get my hand inside. I had to resort to a long soak and sloshing the soapy water around. I think its clean enough? Then there were the times were the rubber seal on the cap came out and fell inside the tank. I hope you have kitchen tongs. And a couple times I accidentally tightened the lid too tight. There for a minute I didnt think I was going to get it open again. Like I said, it DOES work, but its annoying. I ended up replacing it with one that fills easily from the top. This one is now used only in the home office, so I dont have to fill it so often (but I still might totally replace it in this room, and donate this thing).
