> 3 dayProjectors have come a long way since the old days with hot, slow (expensive!) light bulbs. The LED projector era has come about slowly, with a lot of weak, small and power0hungry devices in the last half-decade or so, but this device signals (for me at least) that the technology is maturing into something useful and convenient, and the price is finally coming down a little. The built-in LG smart TV functionality is very useful, and easy on the eyes. Im a big fan of smart TV tech being built into devices like this, as it eliminates a lot of the need for connecting devices and navigating around webpages and third-party apps. While I used to use my Xbox One as my main media portal, I found the Roku functionality built into my TCL TV to be even easier, and LGs functionality looks pretty similar. Especially since this projector has wifi and a battery, having that convenience makes it truly mobile. The hardware feels pretty nice, and the picture is very clear and crisp, which indicates a good lens. There is a physical lever for focusing the picture on top of the device. Others have noted that it is a little laggy, but this isnt due to any issues with the physical lever, its because the lens is what is called focus-by-wire, which means that it is controlled electronically, not by any physical connection from lever to lens. The lever is nothing more than a button and input from the user takes the device a little time to digest and move the lens. I recommend just taking it slow, as the lens will definitely respond to any input from the user, but it is not 1 to 1. So far I have only been able to focus on small wall spaces, so I havent displayed at over about 32 approximate. At this level the picture is quite bright, easy to see during daylight (without direct sunlight of course). Given my small wall space, I will need to add a projector screen to be able to take full advantage of potential display size. Im a little doubtful about a 100 size, given that I havent seen anything that large out of an LED projector, but I will update when I am able to test the device under a greater range of sizes. All in all, Im quite pleased with the hardware quality, the ease of use with the smart TV functionality, and the picture. Its a great option if a projector is the direction you want to go.

> 3 dayFirst, I tried multiple lower priced portable projectors and was very, very unhappy with those other choices. This unit I had working in minutes and its menu and setup was very good. Acted just like my LG TV and because LG has licensing rights, you arent redirected to some China site to install very questionable apps to make the unit work. The other units I tried had menus partially in Chinese, required questionable apps that didnt work or they displayed text in Chinese for some of the menus or apps (no English with English selected) and I know a couple loaded tracking software because I ran Wireshark and it was sending data to China. This unit works as I expected. I am giving 4 stars because it works well and the programming is professional, not Chinese junk. I gave it 3 stars for brightness, because I just wont give a higher rating when its not enough for bright rooms. However, they are honest about its brightness and it works in moderate light conditions, and very well in low light. I bought it to project on to canvas for painting and it works great for that can move the unit to the right distance and get just want I want to trace with the image. I found it works so well, I bought a portable big screen and use it in the back yard. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JTXLBQM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also intend to take it to the beach to setup music videos while enjoying a campfire on the beach. The Bluetooth to my battery powered speakers works perfect and stays in-sync. Overall, I think this unit is much better than every other similarly priced or lower priced options. Plan to use it for football games this weekend. Didnt buy it for that, but its GREAT. Love the battery option. I also bought a battery powered jump starter/compressor that makes for a great power bank and I use it to extend the battery life. https://www.amazon.com/CAT-Professional-Station-Starter-Compressor/dp/B088RMSXD1 NOTE: I got my jump starter for a much lower price at Costco when it was on sale.

> 3 dayReplaced my Qumi Q3 Pico projector for this LG, and honestly the best decision I’ve made in a long time. Picture quality is great, and the brightness is just what i needed. My favorite part is the auto keystone feature! The internal speaker is average as to be expected from an internal speaker. Battery life is good. Lasts about the length of a movie. LG OS installed is great, and so easy to navigate and use!

> 3 dayIf you want to show movies outside and not have to be tethered to power outlets, power cords, network, this is the projector to get! Starting with it diminutive size, true 1080p video, ample brightness in dark settings, included battery with up to 2.5 hours of runtime (can attach power bank for even longer runtime), bluetooth audio out and USB drive input (supports most video file formats and codecs) and tripod mounting hole, this projector checks off all the boxes! There is a USB port on the back of the projector, load some movies onto a USB flash drive, insert into projector, then bring up the included file browser from main menu, choose the movie to watch and that is it! Also, there is a USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port on the back of the projector, so if you have a power bank that support USB-C PD, simply connect it to the PD port on the projector, it will continue to charge the onboard battery to give even longer runtime. I found a 26,800 USB-C power bank on sale for $40 at a local big box electronics store and it works perfectly. Pair this projector with a good, easy to set up portable screen and a powerful bluetooth speaker, you have your dream desert island movie theater! I recommend spending a bit more to get a quality screen, and one that is super easy to set up and break down. Remember, portability and ease is the key here. I found a great portable screen that has a square tubular aluminum frame that is cleverly hinged, the sturdy screen snaps onto the frame, then simply insert foldable legs Into screen and you are done. With 2 people the screen goes up in about 10 minutes or less and comes down and stowed away even quicker. Also, pair it with a powerful bluetooth speaker and you truly will have a full theater experience outside under the stars. I have an Aiwa Exos-9 bluetooth speaker, it pumps out theater quality sound to go along with the vivid image from the projector. And, once paired with the LG projector, I can control the volume from the included LG projector remote, great for upping quiet parts and lowering extremely loud parts of the movie, especially if playing outside close to other homes. There are other features like built in wi-fi support, Netflix, Youtube apps, but none of that concerns me as they will not be available where I will be playing my movies, on my private desert island! So, if you want a truly portable projector that checks off all the boxes, get this, you wont be sorry!

> 3 dayThis thing is amazing. Its plenty bright for all but the most discerning eye, has a decent battery that lasts about 2 hours if you dont have it on Vivid and maxed the volume, and has both external Bluetooth audio and tons of input options! Ive used this at home, in a hotel in Mexico, in my backyard with a bedsheet... Its amazing. The throw is somewhere between standard and short but not so short as to make it unusable with non-tensioned screens. It has been tossed around in airport baggage, moved around 100 times, and I think my dog may have wacked it with her whip of a tail at one point... Keeps on going! Could you spend $500+ more for a slightly better product? Probably. Could you spend $5000+ for a premium product? Definitely. Is this good for a permanent home setup with a dedicated theater system/room? No. Will the AV snobs ever own this? No. But who cares what they think?? I can watch anything I want with a Chromecast, my phone, and a WiFi signal anywhere I want, on a 100 inch screen in passable HD with a JBL Flip filling the room and any reasonable flat surface.

Greater than one weekFirst impression: It’s compact, built well, and excellent packing I already have a projector, the JMGO N7, what is not perfect, but have good picture quality and brightness, but it’s not portable I was looking for something that have decent Brightness and full HD. I have got the AAXA P7, what actually a really well built and Small projector with excellent quality image The only think I had a problem with is the Contrast, and color accuracy, so I send it back. I decided to get the LG PF50KA. The contrast Is just WOW. 100000:1 . In my opinion contrast just as important as high brightness The colors are nice, The image sharp and the brightness is more than enough in a dark room. I did try with daylight, and the image is enjoyable. 600 lumIs perfect with the high contrast. I don’t know How long the battery will last, I be back in a few days..... the operating system is LG’s own system, If you like Amazon, unfortunately you will need a Fire Tv stick or any plugin to HDMI That support Amazon streaming, because LG don’t. Everything else is there like YouTube, or Netflix. Second day : The image Controll is awesome. Individual brightness, contrast, color, gamma Give incredible control over the image. I was able to match the color really close Between my laptop and the projector. The battery is about 1 hour and 20 min in High, 2 hour in mid and 2 hours and 30 min In low settings. The resolution is full HD Not interpolation. Meaning: the DLP is True 1920 x 1080. I’m really happy with This projector. Thank you for reading.... Back after two years, (March 2021) the projector is still the same and still goin. I’m using it 5-6 hours per day 7 says per week. LOVE IT EVERY DAY.!!!

16-04-2025Decent picture and features. Brightness is barely adequate. The two real issues I have are: 1. Sketchy focus control. If you go a bit too far you cant just come back a bit. This makes it difficult to get right and indicates lack of precision in the mechanism. 2. The lens or its cover seems to be made of plastic or plain glass and is far too easily scratched. I have collected binoculars for decades and know how to safely clean optics. In 3 months I cleaned the lens as many times, blowing dust off the lens then wiping with a damp soapy cloth then wiping dry with a lint free clean lens cloth. Nobody had access to the projector but me. The lens has permanent scratches on it nonetheless. This is not expected of optical glass in a unit in this price range. I have found no information about replacement lenses being available. Customers reading this review will decide for themselves whether thats an issue they need to be concerned about or not, but I have owned close to 200 pairs of binoculars and telescopes, often received used in filthy condition from ebay, and never encountered optical glass so easily damaged. As this is such a critical part, dont know why they cut corners here. Edit: dropping from two stars to one. After 8 months of infrequent use, maybe 100 hrs. Never dropped, its been mounted to a ceiling mount in my minivan- it failed. Power brick is good but shows no charge light on unit which will not power up. 2nd edit: sent in for warranty service. Appears LG sent a new or refurb unit back in its place. Ok with me. 3rd edit. The projector they sent is locked to Korean language, location, and services, and cannot be set to US use. Been back and forth with tech dept, now they are going to RA it for return again. LG seems responsive so Im not mad but this is kinda silly. 4th edit. After the last edit I noticed it suffers from color shifting or instability in imagin

> 3 dayIf they made this projector with at least 1000 lumens it would be a heck of a lot better. The LG store is pretty outdated as well. They dont even offer Disney + or Movies Anywhere. Could be a great and fantastic projector but sadly they kept it conservative when it comes to those things.

> 3 dayIt’s good but the brightness is low and video stutters every 10 seconds while at 60 FPS. I’ve tried my PS5 to test out gaming video smoothness but like I said it stutters every 10 seconds. I would keep it if that wasn’t the case but sadly it has that problem. I’ve also tried the YouTube app and still stutters.
