I like the simple design of this case. Instructions/ manual is a bit lacking in cretin areas you sometimes have to look at what screws do what because the manual can be a bit vague. Careful if you are doing a vertical gpu with a full length card it can be a bit tight xD. Keep in mid as it is a little deceiving on the length of the case. Its taller then it is long, surprised me a little bit but i still love it. Tips: You may have to slide the hdd cage towards the front more then when it arrives if you have a longer PSU. if you have hdds you might have to mount them towards the glass unless you have some 90* sata cables. Keep you cables managed in the back there is JUST enough room to route cables (reason for 90* sata)^

I used the Lancool 205 Micro case for my first PC build and I couldnt be happier! Its an amazing micro case and I absolutely loved how it turned out. Im not at all an expert in PC building, but I hope that my feedback helps a bit! Here are my specs - GTX 1050 - GIGABYTE B550M DS3H - Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 - ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports DUO - GIM KB-28 RGB Case Fans, 3 Pack White 120mm - EVGA 220-G3-0750-X1 Super Nova 750 G3, 80 Plus Gold 750W - Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Internal Hard Drive HDD - Crucial MX500 1TB - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Pros - Really easy to work with - Lots of different ways to route cables - Simple and minimalist design - Micro tower is small enough to fit on top of a desk without looking too big - Air flow on the back, top, front, below the psu, and on the sides of the front panel (enough to fit total of 5 fans // 1 fan in the back, 2 fans on the top, and 2 fans in the front) - Removeable Magnetic dust filters on the top and the bottom - Fits the ARCTIC Freezer 34 Esports (grey/white) PERFECTLY, goodness I was worried that my cpu cooler wouldnt fit, but it fit absolutely perfect with a tiny bit of room between the tempered glass and the front of the cpu cooler - the gap in the front is big enough to fit a custom rgb panel - the temps are nice! my GPU runs around 35-41°C - the glass feels very high qu (its pretty heavy too!) Cons - I wasnt sure if this was the motherboard or the case (maybe it was just me?) but I found it very difficult mounting the motherboard onto the case. When I would screw the motherboard onto the case, I just could not get them to go inside. I managed to get the corners in, so I left it at that. This may have just been my fault though and I didnt want to strip the screws :( - This is me just being a little picky, but I wish the little raised cable management things in the back of the case (Im not sure what the technical term is) was slightly larger to fit bigger zip ties and velcro cable ties - I wasnt sure if the case was supposed to come with a mounting tray, but mine didnt come with any (Im still not sure if the mounting is included or not) so I put my HDD in the drive bay and I placed my SSD right on top of the drive bay and zip tied it down Overall, the microATX case is absolutely beautiful and very well made! Its user-friendly and great for beginners that want a smaller build!

I ordered this case to upgrade the airflow to my pc as well as get some rgb into my setup. After installing my computer into the case, the rgb on the fans decided to stop working. It was clearly a problem with the fan controller on the back of the case. I decided to give the case another try and buy another one and return my faulty one. This time after installing my computer into the case, the rgb worked fine but the rgb controlling buttons on the front panel are faulty. The only reason why I’m not returning this one also is because I don’t want to go through the hassle of buying another case and swapping it over again. The Lconnwct software is a joke and doesn’t work with the case. I suggest you look for another case if you planned on buying this one. I will most likely never be buying a Lian li product again.

    Greater than one week

I like this case. The quality is great. Assembly is fairly easy. I like how it comes with 2 pre-installed fans. Thats a nice addition. I even like the way you take off the tempered glass panel as it has a lip to rest the panel on and that there are notches on the corners to align the holes on the glass panel for a secure fit. For $85, I think it is a bit too expensive for what it offers and that there are better options out there with more additions for around the same price. If you can get this case for around $70 and under, it would be a better buy.

Although the case is small, there is still plenty space for long graphic card. I have I7-10700 and 5700XT and I have no heat issue at all. The magnetic filter is a big big plus for me. It is much easier to clean dust. But, there is a tiny bad design. Once you install the dedicated GPU, there will be a big hole on the slot, which was covered by a piece of metal if you dont install GPU. Overall, this is still a good buy from Lian Li

this is an amazing budget tower case. i had been looking at the corsair tower case for my build but went for this one instead and it’s been amazing and does its job. only reason i give this 4 stars instead of five is because my glass panel had shattered into pieces when i had tried to take it off a couple weeks after i finished building my pc. it was relatively easy to find a replacement panel but it really bummed me out

The lancool 205 is an ultra budget, completely barebones case that is priced as a mid range/semi-premium chassis solely off of its brand name. Unfortunately it only besmirches the reputation that lian li has built up through its other cases. This case lacks 360mm rad support, a mesh front (airflow is definitely a concern for this one), and rubber grommets for cable management, which is quite disappointing for the general price this case is usually found at. The build quality on the 205 isnt great either-- some of the thinner metal (especially near the PSU basement panel corners) in the removable panels bends incredibly easily. Additionally, the thumbscrews dont all go in straight either on my unit (the panel and main chassis are misaligned). Dont get me wrong, it is a functional case that will likely meet your needs, especially if you are a beginner builder who doesnt particularly care about airflow or wont be opening the case up to do maintenance often, which is the only reason I didnt take off more stars. But quite frankly there are strictly better options available for the same price (cooler master, phanteks, msi, etc. all have better offerings at the ~70-80 dollar price point so just take your pick).

Case seems nice, panels fit together well, as do dust filters on top and front. The main issue I had with the case is that it was supposed to support a 280mm radiator in front, and while the bracket to attach the radiator does support it, the cable port in back gets in the way. Basically, if your radiator including fans is greater than 1.75 (or slightly less), it will not fit. I understand the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm is exceptionally large at 2.5, but my other radiator would not fit either at 2. Lian Li website indicates the top would support a 280mm as well, but fitment was even worse there. Had to send the case back.

I so wanted to love this. I really like Lian Li products. I do like this case. I just dont love it. There is an okay amount of space for cable management, but could be better. Its just a weird little case. I dont even know how to explain it. Theres a lot of good and not so good. I think the reviews do a good job at explaining this case, so Im not going to go into it. I like it. I dont love it. Its also surprisingly small. I dont mind this because I wanted to do a micro case, but went back and forth on it. Then this went on sale. Im glad I got it at the price I did.

I picked this case for my first PC build mostly because of aesthetics. I love the clean white and dark glass. The case comes with two small fans, which I didnt know when I bought it (maybe I didnt read the product description thoroughly!) but its a nice bonus. Both fans are well-made, quiet, and easy to reposition. The design is intuitive. You dont really need the manual to understand how to take it apart and put it back together. Because this was my first build I spent a fair amount of time troubleshooting. The case is easy to disassemble. The glass side was especially nice for visually checking if things were correct before booting, checking light indicators, and just being able to see all my hard work :D
