> 24 hourThese Hood Lift Supports from Lift Supports Depot fit perfectly on my 2016 Hyundai Sonata. They installed very easily and seem to do the job as intended. Since I just installed these, I do not have a rating for longevity. But I would recommend them as a more affordable option to the original Hyundai factory part.

> 24 hourI can not address longevity as JUST changed out the hood lift spports on a 2015 Sonata. Hood would not stay up. Ordered these. Sipping was fast. Looks to be a quality part. CLEAR directions on how to replace were provided. Had the daughter hold the hood up so it would not hit on my head:) Took ALL OF 5 mins. to change out the right and left hood lift supporters. All is good now:)

> 24 hourTook less then 5 minutes to remove and install two of these. The hardest part, was untangling the rope that I used to hold the hood up (I tied the ends to the garage door hangers and looped it thru the hood latch - just be careful and make sure it is secure).

> 24 hourSo far so good. Took me only 2 min per side with flat head screw driver. I own a hyundai sonata 2016. The fit perfect...

> 24 hourMy 2015 Sonata hood struts gave out and would no longer hold the hood open after five years. On the Hyundai parts website it list a single Lift Cylinder - Hyundai (81161-C1000) for a $155.51 ($311.02 for a set). I looked on line for another option and ordered these hood struts/lift cylinders and they fit perfectly and installed in minutes. Be sure to prop your hood open with a piece of wood or some other object to support the hood when you take the old hood strut out. Simply use a screwdriver to pry the clip that holds the old struts on the ball joints and pull the hood strut off (lots of videos on the internet showing how to do this). To install the new hood struts simply snap over the ball joints on the car (no need to pry the clips). Finally, move the hood up and down a few times to ensure it works. It is that simple. These replaced part number 81161-C1000 which can be found printed on the original struts in the car (see attached picture).

> 24 hourMy Sonatas hood started dropping on me once in awhile. Annoying. For some unknown reason, the Hyundai OEM parts come LH and RH and are insanely overpriced - over $300/pr (I kid you not). These fit and work fine. A little stiffer. Longevity unknown at this time, obviously.

> 24 hourInstalled both in 10 minutes and works very well. I bought this to replace my OEM ones that had mysteriously stop working after I brought my car back from the dealer. Instead of bringing it back, I opted to go after market and I have to say, this was a great decision. Lets see how far these will last.
