Greater than one weekThis light is as bright as the sun on a hot summer day. Im almost convinced its a wide-beam high-intensity laser, so I try not to point it at anything valuable. Its so bright, I was able to have my electricity turned off, and I turn it on in a back room. It literally lights up the house. Just a word of advise, dont go into that back room.

> 3 dayI have to say this is the best flashlight I have ever had. I bought this flashlight over a year ago and use it quite often. The light still shines as bright as it did on day one; and it is indeed a bright light. And, I have yet to replace the batteries. Sure, one could get the more expensive Streamlight or Pelican flashlights, but with this Maglite you are getting an absolute bargain. Its worth twice the price (or more). Maglite quality is there, just like the old days when America and Americans took pride in the things we made. I sure do miss those old days when we produced quality products at a great price that lasted forever. I am proud to say that Maglite still makes those times of American-made, quality, old-school products in this day and age. My only real complaint would be the black hole it produces. I dont know why this cannot be solved, especially since I have cheaper flashlights that do not have a black hole. I will not deduct any stars for this as this is such a great product, and in doing so would be dishonest. Long live the Maglite flashlight. And God bless the USA. • UPDATE! (5.15.2020): I have had this flashlight for almost 6 years now, and I have not yet changed the batteries! No joke. The light is just as bright as it was when I 1st took it out of the box. As a side note, I own another Maglite (incandescent bulb) since the 90s. I have not changed the batteries on that one either! It also STILL works as good as new! Maglite is THE BEST FLASHLIGHT out there, bar none!!!

> 3 dayThis is a tough little light. Well little is an understatement. Its actually quite large. About a foot and a half long, this thing is made durable. Ive dropped it a few times in gnarly ways and it still functions perfectly. This thing shines bright; you can spot things at night as far as youd be able to see during the day or if you need more close, widespread lighting you can adjust the focus on the lens to disperse light across a wider area at the expense of range. I keep it in the door of my Jeep as an emergency light, whether the emergency is changing a flat tire in the after hours or needing to quickly beat someone over the head. Ive taken it hunting, night fishing, driving and hiking, and she hasnt failed me yet. I highly recommend this product if youre looking for a general purpose flashlight that will serve your purposes wherever you are and whatever situation youre in.

> 3 dayVery durable and bright. Thoroughly enjoy option of beam and spotlight. Beam light extends pretty far and holds its brightness. Spotlight is very wide and bright as well. I make rounds in a private golf course where there is no lighting. I constantly switch from beam to spotlight with ease.

> 3 dayGot this after a kid hit me with his car. I work at a church and live on the property (38 acres) and at night I walk up to the church to do a security check and lock the gate before I go to bed. Because we are on a hill with a great view people park here such as teens and young adults to make out and have sex and drug users as well. I run them off then lock the gate. One night I was working in the church just after dark when I heard screeching tires. Sure enough a kid was doing doughnuts in the parking lot. I came out the front door and he went zooming past and stopped then went in reverse and came at me. I slammed my fist on his trunk as hard as I could and he slammed on his brakes but hit me and knocked me off my feet. With my other hand I grabbed the spoiler to keep from falling to the ground. I screamed at him and he took off. My fist hurt for a while after that. I have not had and other problems like this but thought I might get this to use as a club (better than my fist) or to blind someone if needed. This flashlight is bright enough blind for a short time. Its bright enough to see across the fields on this 38 acres. The only con as others have said is that on flood it has a black spot in the middle. Other flashlights have fixed this problem and Maglite should as well. I really only use the beam setting so not much of a problem for me.

> 3 dayMy old (red) one had batteries blow up in the tube- that was the only thing that could kill it, itself. Thats how badass these lights are- they are can only be destroyed by themselves and mine took 10 yrs+ to think about it before finally doing the deed. Btw, if you have the same thing happen, dont waste your time trying to fix it, just get a new light. When I finally got the 3 batteries out, the tube was warped beyond repair I could not get it to work even with brand new batteries. Anyway, the new led version is brighter and lasts longer... Also looks cool in the digital camo- could make a half-decent combat weap in a pinch. Good product at a reasonable price. Sold.
