> 3 dayI needed a food-safe lubricant for the brew group in my Saeco espresso machine. The usual sources charge several times what this lubricant cost for a far smaller tube. Given that the brew group needs lube only about every six months, this is probably a lifetime supply (mine or the espresso machine; not sure). On this basis, Id have to rate this product a best buy.

> 3 dayClear, odorless, and tasteless, this lubricant is just what you need for all your culinary machines. The silicone seals and O rings benefit from the protection and lubrication of this gel. Unlike various food grade oils that are too thin and become rancid with long storage, this stay put and is stable over time. The tube is about the size of a large toothpaste tube, and that should last a home kitchen several years.

> 3 dayWe bought this for a brand new meat slicer. Out of the box the slicer started to make grinding noises. We put this on the gears and it fixed the problem and haven’t had to use it since

> 3 dayThe overhaul kit I got came with lube so I used that. Havent used this yet. Didnt realize its white and not clear. Probably my oversight. Should be fine when I do use it.

Greater than one weekI chose this particular lubricant because I purchased a new meat slicer and needed some lubricant. This lubricant was featured along with the same ad and as a matter of convenience I purchased it at the same time. After reading the reviews, this was an appropriate lubricant and appears to be similar to the product that came with the meat slicer. I would definitely recommend this lubricant.

> 3 dayI removed cap and the seal was still in place just a tiny little slit that had begun to leak product near the top of the tube.

> 3 dayQuality product. I use this on my meat slicer. It doesnt come out looking white at first, but will turn white. Its a quality, food-safe lubricant that can be used on any appropriate kitchen item. I would definitely purchase this product again.

> 3 dayI was a bit put off by the price at first. I bought this for my home meat slicer (Chefs Choice 615), but 4 oz for home use is a very large amount, it only requires a few dabs each time you clean the slicer. I have used this probably a dozen times and I cant even tell that the gel container has been used. Its lubrication seems much better than the white gel that came on my slicer; this is more viscous, so it stays in place well, and also seems to allow for smoother sliding and gear junctions.

Greater than one weekgreat product. I bought it for my electrical food slicer. And it works exelent!!! It does not leave greasy stains, as petrolatum, but perfectly lubricates all friction parts. Lubricant provides an excellent stable film on metal parts. I highly recommend this petrol-gel lubricant for kitchen electrical appliances
