> 24 hourOur 2-year-olds enjoy it and it cant be hurting the process of learning the alphabet. We dont mind gathering the pieces (to this and a dozen other messy toys) a couple of times a day. All part of a proud parents routine. :)

> 24 hourAlthough Amazon shipped this much quicker than I expected, it is not what was pictured nor what Melissa & Doug used to sale. I have a number of Melissa & Doug puzzles that are painted on ALL sides. The older puzzles are made of real wood and feel much nicer than this pressed board crap. They are also cut to the image where the newer puzzles are mere outlines, haphazardly thrown together. I would have promptly returned this puzzle, but my 19 month old son really loves puzzles and saw this and the other 2 puzzles as they were coming out of the box. I cannot believe that these cost the same amount or more than the other puzzles we own, yet they are of such an inferior quality that I cannot believe the are trying to pawn it off as the same thing they used to sale. Shame on you Melissa & Doug.

> 24 hourMelissa & Doug make a lot of great puzzles. This one is also very well-made. Unlike some of their other chunky puzzles, the puzzle pieces are not painted. Instead, the printed letters are glued to the pieces. The glued paper hasnt peeled at all, though, and these pieces wont chip like the painted ones do. I gave this puzzle to my daughter at 22 months. It wasnt too much of a challenge, and she absolutely loved it. For each letter, there are pictures of two things that begin with that letter. We often talk about the letters while she does the puzzle. Some pieces may be choking hazards for little ones, but its otherwise a great toy for toddlers who love puzzles.

> 24 hourWe love Melissa and Doug products in our home. They are always so colorful and well made! His one in particular I just LOVE! Its a huge size for a puzzle but thats great because it keeps my son busy for a long time and he examine each piece and square since each one is different.

> 24 hourThe puzzle is great but we are disappointed that the puzzle was scratched up when it arrived. It was in two layers of plastic and the plastic wasn’t damaged. This leads me to believe it was damaged before it was packaged.

> 24 hourMy three year old loves it! Colorful and the letters stand up----others do not. He can spell his name already. The letters are more Clear to see than other alphabet puzzles with too much distraction. Sturdy and well made puzzle.

> 24 hourI really like this puzzle. It pictures two things for every letter (ex.: A for Apple and Alligator). As parents know having 26 small objects around the house can lead to a mess with a toddler; so I only take out 4 letters at a time and keep the rest in a zip lock bag. You can still review all of the letters from the board.

> 24 hourI bought this for my grandson years ago. When he was two or three, he would sing the alphabet song and run lmnop as one word. I started singing with him and pointing to the letters and the items around the letter so he could recognize them when I visited. By the age of 4 he was reading books. He turned 7 in October and reads contantly. His brother turned 4 in October also and I am waiting to see his progress from the same Melissa & Doug puzzle. They live in California and I live in Pennsylvania.
