Melissa & Doug Jumbo Numbers Wooden Chunky Puzzle (20 pcs)

This puzzle is beautiful - bright colors, nice chunky pieces - and very sturdy!

We love Melissa and Doug products in our home. They are always so colorful and well made! His one in particular I just LOVE! Its a huge size for a puzzle but thats great because it keeps my son busy for a long time and he examine each piece and square since each one is different.

Wonderful puzzle for my 2 and a half year old to learn her letters. She loves playing with it and the colors on the puzzle are very vibrant. I like how there is a picture next to each letter that begins with that letter. It is a great teaching opportunity.

I already have the Melissa and Doug numbers puzzle the same size as this alphabet puzzle. The numbers puzzle is over four years old and both of my grandsons have gotten a lot of good use out of it. It is also still in great shape! When the alphabet puzzle the boys were using fell apart I knew I wanted a Melissa & Doug alphabet puzzle. It is made with the same quality as the numbers puzzle and I am sure my grandsons will enjoy it for many years. I did not notice any strange odors from the new alphabet puzzle when it arrived. I also do not believe the company has been sold to anyone and is still owned by the original owners. I will continue to make Melissa & Doug toys my first choice when it comes to my grandsons.

...because it is bright and colorful, very tolerable to chewing and sucking, and well, for whatever reasons that are unbeknownst to me he loves it for them too. Melissa & Doug toys are some of the best toys for young children out there. It is also a great toy because it is introducing numbers at the earliest ages possible. That as well as problem solving. Its all about numbers and mathematics. Do yourself a favor and help your child as many ways as possible to learn math and sciences. Thanks M&D for this great toy.

I bought this puzzle for my 2 year old. She loves the Melissa & Doug alphabet puzzle, and it really helped her learn letters and how to do a puzzle. So, I wanted to build on that and help her with her numbers. The big disappointment with this puzzle is that there are multiple places where a number can fit. (ie, she can put the #16 in the #19 spot). So, it doesnt really help with the puzzle skills. And since some of the pieces fit anywhere, shes not really motivated to try to find where the piece really goes.

I have purchased this letter puzzle as well as the same Wooden Chunky style number puzzle for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. Thanks to these puzzles, which she asks me to play with nightly, she can already count to 20 and can name at least 60% of the letters in the alphabet. Thank you to Melissa and Doug for quality craftsmanship and sturdy design.

We originally bought this for our son last Christmas (he was around 20 months), and its still his absolute favorite puzzle a year later. I can tell you that after a year of abuse, it is still in decent condition. We bought this one for a friends 2nd birthday! The pieces are large and thick to make it easier for little ones to grasp them and turn them into the right position.

This product is wonderful, beautiful, easy for my 2 year old to play with, however. I f your child still chews on toys you may want to wait. This puzzle is paper glued onto the wood instead of being painted like most of M&D products, so chewers can actually eat the paper off. I realize that this is not a flaw in the product, just that my daughter may still be a little young to play with it properly. Overall I love this puzzle and pretty much anything created by M&D. I would highly recommend for 3-4+.
