Mercury Marine New OEM High Performance Gear Lube with Hand Pump, 91-8M0101435

The threaded end fitting, at the end of the hose, did not fit my drain plug on our 2015 Mercury 25 HP. I had to improvise.

The oil is fine, the pump doesnt reach all of the oil no matter which postion you hold the bottle of oil in. Really dumb, a quart of oil which at best you can pump 2/3 of a quart out of it.

Bought this for my 2017 mercury 15hp and the threads didn’t match the gear lube drain/fill hole. It’s a plastic fitting and maybe if it were brass, it might of worked. I had to taper the threads with my knife for it to work.

Exactly what I needed

This was easy to use and screwed in securely and the pump worked well; filled the chamber with oil. Would buy again.

Great value considering it was 1/2 what a local boat dealer wanted

Does not thread into lower unit for 8ph mercury 4 stroke. I took a chance and will have to order a different insert. Oil is correct for my model

2006 mercury 40 hp.
