Mercury Marine New OEM High Performance Gear Lube with Hand Pump, 91-8M0101435

The threaded end fitting, at the end of the hose, did not fit my drain plug on our 2015 Mercury 25 HP. I had to improvise.

Took 4-5 full pumps to fill my 77, 4.5 h.p. Merc.

The oil is fine, the pump doesnt reach all of the oil no matter which postion you hold the bottle of oil in. Really dumb, a quart of oil which at best you can pump 2/3 of a quart out of it.

Pump isn’t long enough to get all the oil out. Had to pour the rest into a red solo cup( filled it up to about the 3/4 mark) and put the pump in the solo cup. Slight inconvenience but what ever

What Mercury recommends for my 115 HP. Only complaint is the clear hose will come off of the end that goes in the foot if you try and pump to hard.

I could imagine a marine mechanic would not be pleased with the pump/tube, but I am! I saw other peoples reviews and that the pump was useless. I put a small hose clamp on the tube to the pump and tightened it just a bit. Slow, steady pumps and i had no issues. Gear oil change was done in less than 10 minutes from drain to fill. Great product. Just dont handle it like a caveman, its plastic. If you handle as it is intended, it works great.
