Does what they are designed to do. Buy yourself a bulk pack of these and keep on hand for when you need them. Most recently I used one when I cut a power supply cable only to discover that the negative lead was not insulated, but was bare copper. So, chunked that PS and used another one with this pigtail to give me 2 clean leads to plug into my microcontroller.

Easy to connect together, but a couple of the just plug would not open to except the wire end. But still a good deal for the price.

Exactly what I needed for my camera installation project and arrived in time. Would order again if needed.

Just what I paid for it. The product work as planned. Only complain would be is one of the conections came directive, however not to lower the rate nothing a pair of pliers can fix. Note push the wires all way in, pliers will help a lot for this part.

Be sure to test these before using them. I had one of the female pigtails that was internally shorted. Wouldn’t have been a big issue except that I was connecting it to Li-Ion batteries. Not a good plan. Other than the occasional explosion hazard as noted above, these are a great option for connectorizing all kinds of things.

Found these at a good price and needed some decent quality DC 5.5x2.1 connectors for the things I work on (Lithium Ion, Lipo, LiFeP04 batteries, COB LED’s, Power Supplies, Fans, Power Banks, etc) and at first I was satisfied with the set. The adapters are handy but the terminal block is just of average quality. Only had one that didn’t work. I rarely used the male and female DC connectors but after a year I’ve begun to notice a pattern. Now that I’ve used half of them it seems like 50% of the male DC barrel plugs don’t have a connection to the ground. More than once I’ve added one to a project and when I’ve tested it I get nothing from that connector. I check continuity and the positive side instantly beeps but the negative side shows OL or sometimes some extremely high Ohm readings sporadically. I was about to hand off a 70W COB LED panel with an A123 12V 20Ah battery to my mom for a camping trip when I realised I hadn’t tested that part of the circuit (it’s wired straight to the battery as an auxiliary input/output since my parents don’t even know what an XT60 is. In a pinch they could halfway charge the pack up with a 12V power supply or use the battery to power a 12V device with a barrel jack.) Sure enough another failure. I cut this one open to test the components and the connection between the black wire and the back of the jack look fine but have no continuity. This would be the 4th one I’ve encountered and I’ve used 8-9 at this point. Chop em off and waste some quality 3:1 heat shrink I had used along with the time I spent soldering this to the silicone cable coming off the battery. Now I know to test these before putting them on and I’ll also be testing all of the unused ones I have as they are right now since I should be able to find the failures. QC fail. I’ll look past a piece or two in a kit like this but one of the components has a 50% failure rate and that’s unacceptable. Classic You Get What You Pay For. Guess I’ll buy something more expensive from a name brand manufacturer off Digi Key for the rare occasion I need to use these to accommodate the boomer generation.

Wow......i had not really realized how much better these would be than the previous ones i bought from elsewhere. However, these REALLY are WAY better when i came to compare them. And no....i dont have any link/association with the sellers......they just really deserve to do better because they ARE better, is the way i feel, and i will use them again next time. The wiring is better and the quality of the jack plugs is better. Thanks!
