> 24 hourUPDATE 27 Aug 2022: My return window is coming up soon and I have heard nothing from messaging via Amazon nor sending email to the support email address. It looks like returning this plug is the only answer at this point. PREVIOUS 14 Aug 2022: The plug seems to have an oversensitive protection function. I plugged the z-wave plug into a 120v wall outlet, paired it to my z-wave hub, plugged a fan into it and turned it on. The fan operated as advertised on low setting, approximately 63W. I change the fan setting to medium and the plug reported about 78W. I changed the fan setting to high and the plug reported 90W. I then change the fan back to the medium setting and it appears the protection function turned the outlet off and the LED began flashing orange or red (manual says it’s red) continuously. Single presses of the program button seems to have no affect on the plug. It appears that the only to clear the power protection function is to remove the outlet from the wall outlet then plug it back into the wall outlet. At no point should the power consumed have reached the maximum ratings since this a standard box fan that shouldnt draw more than about 100W maximum. I also plugged a portable heater into the z-wave plug and found the same results. Changing the low-medium-high settings on either (fan or heater) occasionally produces transient/instantaneous jumps in wattage and/or amperage. Reported power consumption messages outside the protection parameters occurred. One message said the plug sensed 2304W and another message said it sensed 217A. On a house circuit and using a standard box fan and a portable heater, spikes of that nature must be instantaneous and transient else a fire would occur quickly after a short period of time. Yes, I have performed a factory reset, and confirmed the reset was effective in returning the plug to factory defaults. The same protection shutdown events occurred under the same circumstances after the reset. Plug seems to provide good energy reporting and may be a great plug if the load you use the plug for is a static load, single speed item, light bulb, etc. I really wanted to like this plug, but the protection function has made it useless for me. I sent an email to support, and will update this after a response or resolution. As of now, Im planning for a return.

> 24 hour$29 and separate control of 2 different items. Not bad. Half the price of 2 separate units, and only uses one outlet. Was quickly paired in Vera, but shows up as 3 items. So far only tested, and have not put it in daily use yet. But paired and both channels, or switches work well in Vera. Not sure what the 3rd one is, I consider one a parent device, and the other two are offspring. I just labelled them ans duel switch (the parent), duel switch 1 and duel switch 2, and I only use 1 and 2. The parent just does what #1 does. I thought it might turn both off and on, but it doesnt. Might be a Vera issue, but it is a unique switch, so it might have some quirks in any system. The button on the front turns them both off and on, 1 tap turns 1 on and off, 2 taps turns the other one on and off. Overall, a good value, and cleaner install only using 1 outlet.

> 24 hourThese are nice when they work. They tend to go unresponsive from time to time and require a hard power cycle(unplug/plug). They are also a bit difficult to pair.

> 24 hourOvercurrent protection trips when starting my clothes dryer even though it claims to support 15A. The dryer says it works in 15A or 20A outlets and uses a standard power plug. I think there is just too quick of a surge when starting the dryer for this device. I can use it with other high amp devices with heating elements that dont surge, so I dont think its defective. Its just not clear in the description that it wont work if there is a sudden surge even if its under 15A. Other than that, it integrates very nicely in Home Assistant so Ill continue to use it for other devices!

> 24 hourI purchased two different models of this product: the MP21Z and the MP21ZP. Model MP21Z: This is a fairly straightforward plug. You can put it into pairing mode per the included instructions - but it also goes into pairing mode the first time its plugged in. So put your gateway into pairing mode, plug in the plug, and away you go. Im using Home Assistant supervisor-2021.09.0, core-2021.9.6, deployed via OVA on an ESXi host with a z-wave dongle connected via USB passthrough, and it saw this plug immediately without any problems. Be mindful that this plug is only rated for 10 amps, and this model does NOT report power usage. This model is also not a dimmer. It does on/off only. Im using it to control some low-wattage lamp bulbs, so its perfect for those needs. Model MP21ZP: My experience with this model was much the same as the MP21Z. It goes into pairing mode as soon as its plugged in, and Home Assistant found it immediately. I will say that, while on/off functionality worked immediately, I had to re-interview the device after initial pairing in order for HA to see all the attributes. The MP21ZP does not appear to be in the Z-Wave JS database as such, so some attributes give it trouble. BUT, the reporting that comes out of this plug is pretty detailed. Im using this plug for the plant lights in my laundry room, and Im very interested in seeing usage which is why I bought this plug. Ive included a screenshot from Home Assistant of the MP21ZP and all its entities. Its impressive, and Ill continue to get these plugs to use in my home.

> 24 hourThese work very well with my SmartThings z-wave hub. I purchased the model with the energy monitor which seems to work well and is quite responsive to power draw changes as the appliance may demand. It offers a Power meter read out and a Energy consumption read out. The energy consumption cannot be reset so its usefulness is somewhat limited in my opinion. I guess it must track over all energy consumption in kWh over the life of the unit, but it is uncertain whether it resets itself every week or month or, maybe year? As well as history (through the SmartThings app) both functions can be read graphically, which is very useful for reading the power meter activity at a glance. In the SmartThings app you must select the device from the Favorites icon menu or the Devices menu to read the power consumption functions.

> 24 hourGreat product easy to install and works with Vivant. You will just need to call to get a code to unlock the developers toolbox

> 24 hourOn the good side, the product is cheap enough that I didnt spend a lot of time trying to figure out who screwed up. So I guess I cant complain about their return process (or UPS or Fedex or USPS, whomever it was). The bad news is that it was supposed to trip on over-current, and instead, that one unit went toes to the wind. Maybe it was just a dud, maybe I shouldnt have been placing an 8 amp load on it (though it was rated 10 amps), but maybe the product generally doesnt handle over-currents as well as advertised.

> 24 hourBought 2 of these and one was bad right out of the box. The replacement works OK. They do not have much range from the controller but they do work with my Vivint panel.
