There is no phone support, text only, and the techs send do it yourself links and have to be requested to walk through it. You will spend hours getting this set up. The techs did not solve my issues and i had to figure it out myself. It doesn’t support my router or my printer. It slows down your internet. Search results are based on the VPN router location. If you select this system plan on spending lots of time reading their self help articles. Also make sure your router is compatible before you buy it, otherwise you will only be able to protect your devices. They told me as long as my router was open protocol it was compatible but in the end game it was not. Orbi mesh routers are not compatible with Nord or Express. Express tech support is much better than NORD.

Addendum: My third year with NordVPN and Im having no problems with it (occasionally have to turn it off to gain entrance to a website but can turn it back on). Recent updates make it easy to change the level and form of security based on what you are doing on the internet. Much easier to use than in the past. Ive been using NordVPN for over a year and have communicated with them dozens of time trying to get this app to work on my iMac. But they always responded quickly with suggestions and the software updated regularly. I now reconnect it every morning and test it with Speedtest. Sometimes I disconnect and reconnect a half dozen times before I get a connection that has little impact on speed. I just added it to my 16 MacBook Pro and it worked perfectly from the start with virtually no loss in transfer speed. On the iMac, the VPN protocol is set to OpenVPN TCP. On the MacBook, the protocol is set to IKEv2. The latter is certainly working better so Ill change the iMacs protocol to IKEv2. On both, I have NordVPN set to open automatically after reboot and to close the browsers if it goes down. I also have it installed on Windows laptop and my iPhone. I dont think I was able to get it working on my Amazon Fire TV. Recent update seems correlated with an inability to download files one the mac using OpenVPN. Going to the same sites on the macbook using IKEv2, I am able to download the files.

The product is easy to install and the installation guide was crazy to follow. No issue encountered. Easy to use. Get the job done.

Installation was easy. There are a lot of nice features. It wors splendidly on the android platform. I have used VPNs before but I wanted to try Nord. I installed on 2 different later model computers- Windows 11. Both had issues. I contacted technical support. they responded quickly and were helpful. However after 3 rounds, I really lost my patience. VPN is to make my life easier. I really dont have anything to hide but I just like avoiding the ad trackers. So no more NordVPN for me. I did a trial of cyberghost - installed easily and worked perfectly.

I signed up in late September. This is the only app to ever cause my MacBook Pro to lock up. I have had to delete and reload the program several times in November and again in January. The customer service is almost non-existent. You only have online chat as a customer service tool. After months of problems with MacBook and iPad, I asked for a refund. I was told NO because it was past the 30 day trial period. When I asked for a manager, I was told NO. No consideration for ongoing product issues or pro-rating of the fees for the balance of my contract with them. Shop around and stay away from NordVPN.

Their 30-day money-back guarantee that you see twice on their landing page comes with hidden rules that you only see alluded to on the bottom of the pricing page down below the testimonials and FAQ (most people will not scroll down that far) in buried in the Terms of Service (which most people will never read). Canceling the service online within the first month does not trigger the refund. You have to contact them separately for that, and you have to do that within 30 days of the original purchase or they will deny the refund. In other words, they are getting the benefits of marketing the money-back guarantee (which is why I signed up) while making it difficult for people to collect on it. My impression is that they are not on your side. If they are willing to trick me out of a few dollars, what else are they willing to do? I will not be going back to them.

I purchased the Nordvpn app on Amazon Prime Video. Product is represented to have30 day guarantee. When I tried to cancel and get a refund -- one day after purchase -- the company sadly refused because its Terms of Service are controlled by Amazons Terms of Service, neither of which were delineated until after the purchase. The fact that Northvpns website prominently highlights and guarantees a 30 day cancellation and refund is apparently inoperative because (1) its my fault that I did not read the companys Terms of Service (2) its Amazons fault and (3) most importantly because Nordvpn had its fingers crossed when it advertised its money back guarantee.
