Greater than one weekIve tried several different brands. This is the first time my blood test came back with an acceptable vitamin D level. Well actually, my doctor put me on a slow release 50,000 IU vitamin D that I took just once a week and it took me too high. Since I was worried about vitamin D overdose, I switched to 5000 IU daily which seems to be perfect if it is this brand. So my husband started to take these too and although it took him a bit longer (not having taking the high hit slow release), he has now reached optimum vitamin D levels too. Ive learned the hard way to take only all natural vitamins and that it is important to stick to really good brands. I think this company usually satisfies those demands.

> 3 dayI was shopping for the best product I could find and I am happy to say I think I have found it. Excellent quality at a good price... Who could ask for more? The 5000 IU has been great for me. I had regular low vitamin D3 levels but my last one was great. My oncologist was very pleased and said I should Keep doing whatever I am doing! - What I have been doing is 5000 D3 per day. Thanks for a great product!

> 3 dayI used to take 2,000 iu per day of Vitamin D. I had my blood tested after several months and the levels were still well below the ideal range. I started taking these and incredibly, although better than before, still a bit short of that ideal range. I now alternate between 1 and 2 of these pills per days, so averaging 7500 iu per day. Will have my blood tested again in a few months. I dont get much sun, so that of course has something to do with it.

> 3 dayI trust NOW. Use a few of their products. Was on 50,000IU Prescription Vitamin D for my Auto Immune Disease. But I was tired of having to have my hair cut every 2-3 weeks and trim my nails every 3 days (literally). So tried this daily. My lab work Vitamin D levels are still great! The pills are also tiny. So thats a plus. 5 Stars!

> 3 dayI bought these vitamins to help heal and promote bone strength after a dental implant. My dentist was amazed at my quick healing far ahead of the curve he expected. I also feel good knowing Im getting additional Vitamin D especially during the cabin fever days were having here in New England this winter. Its a long time to be indoors without exposure to natural sunlight - the ideal way of getting Vitamin D naturally. I like knowing my levels are being maintained as evidenced by blood work which used to show a deficit of Vitamin D - an important defense against disease.

09-04-2025It IS possible to overdose on vitamin D! Please consult your doctor before you start taking this if you think youre deficient! I found out that I had a severe Vitamin D deficiency when I needed to get a complete blood count for other health reasons. Not sure how that happened, because I live in a city where the sun shines every single day and we worship rainy days. Maybe I need to get out more. At the time, I didnt have a doctor, so I thought Id try taking an OTC supplement until I could get in to see one. I searched for the highest amount of IU available and when I came across this listing, I got excited because I knew I could trust NOW to be a good quality while still beating out pretty much all the competition in terms of price. It didnt take too much comparison shopping to realize that I wasnt wrong. I ended up needing 50,000 IU which is prescription-only, so I dont take this anymore. By the time I actually got around to finding a primary care physician and going to see them, I had gone through 2 bottles of NOWs vitamin D already. I really dont consider it a waste, though, and if I end up needing to maintain my vitamin D levels after theyre up to par, Ill definitely be throwing this back in the shopping cart.
