o.b. Original Non-Applicator Tampons, Ultra Absorbancy, 40 Count (Pack of 1)

Well, I never thought I’d write a review for a tampon, but the OB Ultra is just the best damn tampon out there. If you fan out the base as the directions explain, it won’t leak.

Yea these are the best brand of tampons, no stupid applicator, easy to insert with finger, very absorbing, and I love that they only expand sideways, not lengthwise which I can fee uncomfortably whenever I am forced to use any other brand. However, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WRAPPERS? The little clear wrapper is had to open on some, and often really hard to pull off. It’s too tight on almost half the tampons in any given box. Sometimes the tip part is real super tight and I have to use my teeth to pull it off. I’ve been exclusively using o.b. For over 30 years, and lately the American ones are horrible to unwrap. In Germany though, where I visit frequently, they are easy to get out and they even have a new way to open, you can simply twist the wrapper and it opens right up, and the two pieces slide off super easily. I am giving 3 stars because of the wrappers being so maddening, ESPECIALLY WHEN A WOMAN IS EASILY ANNOYED ON HER PERIOD (!!!!!) and as soon as I see this problem corrected, I will go back and fix this review to 5 stars. Please fix this, o.b. people! I’m afraid to introduce the best tampons in the world to my daughter now, because I know she will yell at me for help whenever she can’t get a wrapper off. So far she’s only using pads, but you better fix this by the time she’s ready for tampons. It’s truly rage inducing. Thanks

I spent 20+ years (Im now 40, so if that tells you anything) using paper applicators that would get wedged or would end up too dry and you know...the feeling of pulling one of those out is too much fun. So, on a lark, I decided to get a box of OB tampons and the heavens opened. Not only can I cram about 20 of these in my bag where I could only fit a couple of the paper applicators before, and they would always come out of their paper rendering them useless, these fit SO much better. Theyre easier to get placed and the way they are designed to open is light years over paper applicators. They dont last as long, so youll have to change them a bit more often, which is why I knocked up to the Ultras. I cant find these anywhere in the stores, so Im buying them here. And, hot tip, anything you dont want a dude looking at? Just cover with these tampons. Theyre like garlic to a vampire.

I have an extremely heavy period and although this tampon isnt sufficient, its the best Ive found on the market.

Wanted to do my part for the environment by switching to a tampon without an applicator, for times when using my menstrual cup is not an option. These are terrible, and would never recommend them. They’re so bad, I might even just throw them away. Ironically, they come wrapped in plastic. Yes, for sanitary reasons, but couldn’t they use something biodegradable? Also, they are THE WORST to open. I have no fingernails, and it takes me a good minute or two just to open them. I’m pissed off enough on my period, I don’t need anything else stressing me out lol. Also, they are extremely uncomfortable. It feels like when I had a tooth extracted and they shoved my mouth full of gauze... except up your chach. THE WORST. Also, wasn’t impressed with their absorbancy. Too bad, was hopeful about these.

The best leakproof tampons here in the US, couldn’t find them in regular stores.

I had no idea how big these would be but my flow has been horrendous and Ive been leaking though. These do the job. nothing gets past them. The first time I used it I was afraid I wouldnt be able to get it out but it was ok.
