Although you get four brushheads with the original packaging, you still will need some after two months. The design of the brushhead is fitted to the toothbrush (so you do not want to use generic ones like in other circumstances). These are the official and will properly record the data and pressure to the sensor where generic ones will not work as well with pressure information.

These are exactly what came with my brush, so theyre pretty perfect. They fit great band give my teeth the best clean since my last dentist appointment.

Ive been using another famous brand electric toothbrush for years, and now Im using Oral B and I love it! I love the round head, I feel like it truly hugs each tooth. This is a great size, too, even for those with a small mouth. Its comfortable, and my mouth has never felt cleaner.

Toothbrush Cleans Well!

As a nearly 20-year user of Oral-B rechargeable toothbrushes, I was quite excited to try this newest “iO” toothbrush head. Unfortunately, I was shocked and disappointed to see upon receiving it that the summer 2000 release of “iO” heads are only compatible with an all new line of far too expensive iO handles. The Ultimate Clean brush head itself is much larger and wider than what loyal Oral-B users like my entire family are used to. You may wonder, why is Oral-B switching to an all new design? I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that so many excellent generic heads are now available to fit Oral-B handles. I’ve tested several generic heads and they typically very good indeed. An entirely new head and brush design from Oral-B means new a patent that can hold off generic brush heads for several years. But is this new design better? This is of course subjective. As you can see, the head is still round, but all of our family members agree it’s bulbous and too large to comfortably brush with compared to the great original design. The new iO handles do have an advantage of quicker charging and less noise. However, if you are like us, you only need to charge every couple of weeks, or can simply leave on the charging stand overnight. Thus, faster charging is no advantage for our family. Also, we’ve tried various Oral-B handle designs over the years, from the excellent basic 1000 series to highest end. What’s best is quite simple and also moderately priced: three speeds (if you need them) a 30 second brushing timer, and no further gimmicks. We quickly tired of the silly and unnecessary Oral-B brushing app and do not recommend it. This is NOT the heralded toothbrush design that dentists have long recommended. Would anyone really want to pay the jaw dropping list price of $15 per brush head? Seriously? Also, over the many years our entire family has been loyal to Oral-B we could always count on excellent customer service. Unfortunately, something seems to have changed recently. I left two messages that went unreturned. At last, I reached someone on the third call but the service received was impersonal and indifferent. I felt taken for granted. Since we are talking about oral hygiene, the recent lack of helpful customer service left a not good taste in my mouth, so to speak. Although Ive always preferred Oral-B to Sonicare, we are going to give the more reasonably priced Sonicare another look when its time to replace our familys toothbrushes. What about the price for this new iO design? The Series 7 is the least expensive starting at $200, while the top end Series 9 lists for $300. Yikes!

Oral B makes a fantastic sonic toothbrush... whether youre an oral b user or a sonic care user, theres no denying that ultrasonic is the way to go. This replacement head for oral b is a bit pricey, but con make your old brush run like new again, so in that regard, I suppose its worth the extra $$. Genuine oral b quality in a replacement head.
