OtterBox USB-A to USB-C Cable, 2M - Black

I wouldnt say theres anything particularly remarkable about this cable, but I would still recommend this over no-name ones purely for security reasons. This is capable of data transfer, and the paranoid part of me isnt comfortable with buying generic cables for that reason. While I have no reason in particular to trust Otterbox, it is a reputable brand that is known for quality.

This cable is nice and thick and sturdy, and I love that it comes with a Velcro cable tie attached at the end. The worst part about using any cable is the fact that it needs to be wrapped up when you are done using it (at least for me it does). Having the cable tie already affixed to the end makes it super easy to keep it organized! I also love how the connector is big enough for me to grab it firmly so I can easily plug and unplug it. At 6.6, the length is perfect for my needs. Again, having that cable tie at the end makes all the difference in the world. Even if it is a bit too much cord for some places, I can keep the unused portion wrapped up. I have added photos comparing this USB-A to USB-C cable to the USB-C to USB-C cable that came with my Apple iPad Pro. The Apple cable is short, skinny, and difficult for me to grab. The connector on the Otterbox is so comfortable, while the Apple connector actually hurts my fingertips a little. The only downside is that one end of this cable (USB-A) is somewhat older technology and plugs into a power source that will not charge as fast. Since USB-C is newer and most Apple products (ie: iPhone, Apple Watch) do not even include a power source nowadays, this will help to charge our devices with the equipment we have on hand.

This cable has the feel like the OEM apple cable and the quality thats even better.

This review is for OtterBox Premium USB-A to USB-C Cable, 3M - Dark ASH The color says dark ash, but its pretty much black. Its 2 meters so approximately 6 feet long and it works well. The cable comes with a little rubber tie that is pretty difficult to maneuver but it works well once it is on. I did struggle with it to take it off and put it back on when I wanted to make the cable longer/shorter, but it works well. I probably prefer velcro ties more though, but its appreciated that it came with it. I charged a samsung galaxy phone with its original charger brick and the cord was able to fast charge the phone. Awesome! It also seems to charge an ipad mini 6 fine but slower due to me using a charger brick that is smaller than what it originally came with. Price wise, its pretty typical that charging cords that have reinforcing along the cord (not just plastic casing) and 2 meters long are more expensive. The price doesnt surprise me at almost $27. But time will tell if this cord holds up to the bending etc.

The Otterbox USB to USB-C cable is build well and everything is tight. The cable joint where is meets the USB ends are reinforced and slightly flexible, where most cables fail. The cable worked with all of the power bricks that it was tried with and was able to fast charge a phone with no issues and measured just as well with a USB power gauge. The cable itself seems slightly thicker than most standard cables but close to as flexible. The cable looks quality and the velcro tie is a good way to keep it wound when stored or to clean up the slack. The price is in line with other cables and comes with a brand name that is reliable. Overall, recommended!

When I had seen Otterbox made cables, its worth giving them a chance and sure enough the quality is as expected. In comparison to other durable cables, this Otterbox cable is a bit more stiff and still provides a reasonable amount of bend or flex and the cable ends have a nice amount of reinforcement where a cable will typically be flexed the most. Overall this is a cable Id highly recommend may it be for a phone or tablet.

Exactly what I needed. My usb port is in my sofa and I hate being confined to one end of it just to charge my phone. Goof quality however it does bend and kink and Im not sure if thats a good feature for use on high traffic spaces

OtterBox Premium USB-A to USB-C Cable, 3M - Cloud, works well. This white cable connects an USB-A port to an USB-C port. The cable is 3 meters in length as I didnt want a short cable. Other lengths are available. This cable is thick and it is flexible. It is covered in braided nylon that combats fray and tangles and has been bend/flex-tested for rigorous use. The velcro tie is handy for securing excess length. I been having trouble with a couple of cable connections bending and the wires breaking. I decided to get some better quality cables and I hope these Otterbox cables will fill the bill and last.

This otterbox cables looks to be as tough as their phone cases. Its extremely long and will allow full charging by QC 3 standards. Its fabric covered and should hold up very well. The connectors are metal and have decent strain relief. You plan on having a charging cable in a car/truck that will get rough treatment, this should do well for you.

I am super impressed with how buff this cable is. Naturally, it does the job of charging, but the materials and all their connections are clearly very strong. If I ever fall off a cliff and my only attachment is a USB cable, I want it to be this one. Granted, it hasnt had an encounter with our pet rabbit yet (that little fluffing fluffball eats power cords for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) so Ill update my review when that happens. In the meantime, I just want to enjoy having a super long, super strong power cable, okay?
