Used this to control my outside lights this year. It worked very well and installed very easily. Highly recommended.

It was not until I got the product did I learn that I would have to reconfig my router to separately name each band (2.4/5) and then be faced with spending an hour reconnecting all the other wireless devices in my home to reconnect to the new names--everything from thermostat to multiple laptops/tablet, phones, tvs, etc. For 3 weeks of turning off xmas lites from inside with Alexa, adding this device would have been a terrible trade-off of my time to use. Vendor does have good detailed instructions in box but does not make it clear on AMZ site, you will obsolete all the rest of your wifi network

Could never get it set up. Too complicated for setting up. Should be quick and easy.

I did not work.I had to return it. Waste of time.

It makes you download a strange app from China that it isn’t a smart life product app

This plug has saved the day for outdoor Christmas lights. Not only does it save us from walking outside nightly, but it comes with two plugs, all others seem to only come with one. Who doesnt love 2 for 1? Setup: Setup was simple, except you have to download this companies app to create an account then download the Alexa skills. Would prefer to be able to create an account online without having to download a separate app. (Once I had the alexa skill I deleted the brands app.) This took maybe 5 minutes? This works great being able to use Alexa to verbally turn of and on the Christmas lights or the Alexa App directly.

I set this up to turn on my patio lights. And it works well with the app or with Alexa. I set up both. And the wifi range is pretty long, like 50 feet.

I have used this for two Christmas seasons and controlled w/ my Alexa. It’s handy to turn lights on/off for the evening/morning.
