Unfortunately this plug has a very short range,So if it is your intent to use it away from the house, or at a distance from your WiFi base, you’re going to need a WiFi extender.I use mine to operate a pump for an above ground pool,and due to the distance from my wireless router coverage is spotty at best.The plug uses the “Smart Life” app for connectivity which allows you to setup a schedule that can control the switch even when you have no WiFi connection. The other plus is that it works well with Alexa as long as you have a WiFi connection.

This was almost too easy to setup. I was looking forward to struggling to get the device setup and signing up for another weird chinese smart device app, but none of that happened. I synced it through the GoSmart app in about 10 seconds and I was done. Added to Google home just fine. Using it on a schedule for Xmas Lights.

Could never get it set up. Too complicated for setting up. Should be quick and easy.

We love it, just need to get a wifi extender. We had this hooked up in our garage, so occasionally it would disconnect from our wifi. Other than that, my daughter loved it that she could tell Alexa to turn them on, when the schedule didnt work because the connection was lost.

Garbage. Could not pair this to smart life even though I already paired cheap smart bulbs already to smartlife. Spent over an hour messing with it and I’m over it. Sending back to China or whatever.

After less than a month, the weather resistant plug quit working after a rain. To the company’s credit, they quickly replaced it with no problems. I placed the second one in a plastic bag to protect it and it continues to work well. Connected easily to WIFI.

I have used this for two Christmas seasons and controlled w/ my Alexa. It’s handy to turn lights on/off for the evening/morning.
