I cannot get the series number info for this product via tools like CPU-Z or AIDA 64 extreme, nor the manufacturing date (xx week/xx year). Well, cheaper stuff is cheap for a reason. Other than that, the spec is good as told, it could use as a dual channel with my another existing RAM (kingston) in my laptop, no problem after running AIDA 64 stress test and gaming for a while. Besides, the package is shipped by USPS so it arrived earlier than Amazon expected due to that the tracking is not updated in time. All in all, nothing to complain and it deserves five stars.

After upgrading to Windows 10, I found that the additional applications running in the background were always keeping my RAM usage close to >85% of 8GB, with an increasingly larger pagefile size, which made me uncomfortable. The quickest and cheapest way to solve my issue was with this Patriot 8GB PC4-17000 SODIMM! This stick matched the factory 8GB HP RAM timings and specs, and allows me to now run in dual-channel memory mode, all the while having 8GB more RAM for my PC. A total win-win, especially at this current price-point. I will update this if the memory deteriorates or fails, but so far, everything is performing well!

Good Product!!!

Good price for a dual channel memory upgrade for my daughter’s Dell laptop. She only had 4GB installed from the factory, but knew she could go up to at least 32GB, but since I run 16GB on both my Mac Mini and my MacBook Pro, I knew that 16GB would be more than sufficient for her, especially since this memory is a newer and faster version than I’m running.

Added the 16 gb to my 8gb already installed in my laptop and works great! Can run Total War Warhammer 2 now :)

Excellent Product.

Its slow for ddr4 but for general purpose and light gaming it works like a factory provisioned chip.... Booted upon instal with no issues and does everything it is designed to do.

Same speed and timing as the original RAM on my Zephyrus G14. Excellent price. I received the wrong product at first but was able to exchange it quickly. The price was excellent and now I have enough RAM to edit my 50MP raw photos in Lightroom and Photoshop.

This memory was at a good price point and installed easily and works great.
