Photomatix Pro 6

Product does a fine job for bracketed photos taken with a Nikon D700. Sometime a little difficult to use. Although it could be the user!!!

Photomatix Pro 5 is pretty much the standard software for HDR photography. It gives the user the ability to get a realistic HDR image or a surreal image. Its interface is pretty much straight forward. The GUI has none of those cute little things that distract from the task.

I am a relative new comer to HDR photography but am already producing incredible results from this software. Its very easy to learn and use and does exactly what it sets out to do. Of course you need to be able to compose a good photograph, or rather series of photographs using auto exposure bracketing (which rules out most cameras except decent quality DSLRs), to get good results from the software. I cant compare this with other HDR software as I have not used any others, but, I am happy with the results I am getting from Photomatix Pro.

Just thought Id post a quick comment that I actually received the Pro 5 (latest) version rather than the older one shown. Will add to this when Ive used it. Cant wait!!

Superb piece of software for anyone interested in HDR work. There are a number of presets for tone mapping that are a great start. But you soon start to tweak these and build up a set of your own presets which meet your particular style. Dont expect to replace photoshop that is not the purpose it is to use alongside other editing software.

The HDR pictures cannot be loaded into elements 14.

Inaccurate description reads Photomatix Pro 6, but in actuality, you get Photomatix 4.1. How do I know? I bought it and they gave me Photomatix 4.1. False ad. Beware.

I use this to edit my interior home photos (Im a REALTOR®) and its freaking fantastic.
