Digital Sensors have a range of tones theyll record. When an exposure is calculated by the camera, something can be lost. Either the shadow detail is going to be too dark to record, or the highlights are going to go white and lack any detail.

It`s a buyer`s market- I`ve tried a few of the trials- some better than others - but I plumped for Photomatix mainly for ease of use- bonus was the selection tool + plus there`s some pretty neat B&W+ Sepia to be had-Yeah I`m well pleased

Best HDR software out there!! Does HDR from multiple photos or from a single photo, RAW or JPEG! Made my flat, dull, boring pics come to life! Love it!! Lots of demos out, I encourage you to try them. Photomatix pro 5 did it for me, best one!!

Tried Photomatrix Pro thinking that I would get some unique results. However, with all the motions that one has to go through to create an image, (three or more exprosures at different settings), I found that it wasnt worth it. I have been using Topaz Labs Adjust 4 since it came out. It is alot simplier and all you need is one exposure (jpeg). It creates similar pictures at half the price. For what it is worth, Id try this before Id purchase Photomatrix Pro. Topaz Labs offers a 30 day download trial at no cost.

I have been editing my pictures with this software and the quality I get is very good.The presets are very useful and you can make adjustments.Also you can edit black and white image too
