PORTERS Liniment Salve, 2 Count

I have painful, cracked fingertips and my sister-in-law told me about this product. I read the reviews on Amazon (even about the smell) and felt it was definitely worth a try. When it arrived I could smell it as soon as I opened the Amazon box (the tins were in another box inside). I immediately tried it, thinking the smell would be worth it if the product worked. I was only able to leave it on for about 30 min, the medicinal smell was just too overwhelming (I used it only on the tips on my two thumbs). Ive tried a few more times, using the tiniest bit I could get away with but I still could leave it on for only a little while. Having said all that - I can tell the product works, but it would work faster for me if I could stand the smell longer. I think this product works well, but just be aware of the smell. Its the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars. Oh, and to store the tins I have to put them in ziploc bags then put them back in the box - otherwise I can smell them as soon as I open the drawer.

We have used Porter’s Salve for years. My kids called it “magic circle medicine” when they were little. It works on just about anything. Small cuts, minor burns, splinters, bee stings, etc... I keep one tin at home, one in the camper, and one at work.

This stuff stinks, and yet we put it on everything, because it works! Our go to!

Have been using this stuff my whole life and was thrilled to find on Amazon. It helps so much with painful little cuts, scrapes, stings, burns, and other small injuries. I never go without it. Yes it smells medicinal but its so worth it. My kids wont take a band aid without it

My daughter contracted an infection in an open sore on her knee. We applied Porters and I took her to her pediatrician the next day. He scheduled her for surgery and prescribed an antibiotic. The next morning we went to pre-op and the wound was so much better looking and she didnt have to have surgery because of the major transformation of this wound.l due to the salve drawing that infection out.We applied this salve and re-applied the day and night before. It also works very good on boils and other skin irritations. We always keep this on hand.

Ive used it since I was a kid and that was a long time ago. I recommend this to everyone. Im just sorry that none of my local stores carry it anymore. I have very dry skin and my feet and hands crack all year long I wouldnt know what to do without this terrific old time product. Even with it having a little odor its worth it for the relief and quick healing. It is great for drawing slivers out also.

Dislike the size compared to what it use to be …like the product tho

My mom has been using this product on us 5 kids since we were very You and she has used it for a very very long time, It will take the Soreness out of a cut and heal it from the inside out so there would not be a scar, when I can afford it I buy it for my friends
