Kit came ok, but no link to instruction video was found. Was it to be in the package with the rest of the tools?

I attempted to replace my cracked screen and with this tool kit I was able to fix my iPad it has most everything you need to replace an iPad screen its great

Screen is durable, tools definitely came in handy, and with a little help from a youtube video, I now have a working iPad again!

After all the trouble of doing a unique install job, it didnt work once installed

After installing the new screen, I have found that the home button is not working. Ive opened it again and the home button cuicuit is just missing.

Sent back defective unit over a week ago, but no refund.

Update! August 2021 After 5 months it stop working! Not even a year! Downgrading from 5 stars to 3 My iPad mini had a broken screen for about 2 years (had a case and a screen protector) so I wouldn’t get cut using it. It was mostly for my 2yrs old son. It now started to act crazy and clicking things on its own and we didn’t know if it was the screen or something else; so we looked for a cheap screen replacement in case that is not it and we wouldn’t feel bad spending too much money. Let me tell you it works now! Replacement was nice and it provided all the necessary tools. If will need a heat gun, but I ended up using a hair dryer lol. Anyways, mission accomplish, thank you for a great product. PS” I don’t think the glue on the replacement is strong to stick for a long time; but since I use a case, it doesn’t matter.

Replacing broken digitizer glass on an iPad Mini is not for the feint of heart. But with patience, it is with the grasp of those with decent electronics repair skills. This part comes with no documentation, but there are multiple YouTube videos that illustrate the steps. The part comes with a separate sheet of double sided tape pieces that do not match up with the iPad Mini. It turns out that the correct strips are already attached to the part - this is not documented. I successfully installed the part, turned the device on and discovered a bit of debris; I took it apart and found the debris was between the plastic digitizer sheet and the glass - i.e. Defective. The new part cracked after trying to remove the debris. I contacted the company, documented the problem, returned the defective part, and received a replacement. I suspect people break this part frequently when trying to repair iPads; kudos to their customer service department for working with me to replace the defective part!
